  1. Devils advocate, where do you keep these chickens when you live in a third story flat with no garden? I'm not doubting people can eat cheaply and still have a good diet, what I am doubting is it can't be achieved on 30 pence a day for very long. This isn't just my take on it, Tory backbenchers booed him.
  2. This is where we disagree, not everyone who is struggling to afford decent food is a dosser. Everything from food, utilities and fuel is going up in price yet wages are stagnating. Serious question, how do people who can't up their income due to age/illness keep soaking up the cost of living?
  3. And how long would you like to live on a shit diet like that?
  4. The Mirror was selective in its reporting. Do yourself a favour and watch exactly what he said and the response it got from both sides of the house. We will never do away with the feral, feckless and long time useless, which I care not a jot about, but when working people are struggling to make ends meet it's time for change.
  5. Feed them scraps from a 30 pence meal, get real.
  6. I'd forgotten about that, must try to catch up with it again...
  7. I disagree, you (I) couldn't cook a single meal from scratch for 30 pence, a bog standard cheese omelette costs more than 30 pence before you've fired up the hob to cook it. He sparked fury from both sides of the house. He's talking complete and utter bollox.
  8. Meals for 30p/day, not allegedly, what he said in the commons. So, so far detached. Tory MP moans poor people 'can't cook properly' and boasts meals only cost 30p - Mirror Online WWW.MIRROR.CO.UK Ashfield Conservative MP Lee Anderson claimed "generation after generation" of people in his constituency "cannot...
  9. Let's get this right, what Mark does/likes determines what you do/watch. Nothing as queer as folk.
  10. I'll just leave this here.
  11. I don't know anyone selling GH64. Was this a useful comment? Try this fella mate: 01284 387000, he's a Brian James dealer but normally has loads of secondhand stuff in.
  12. I'm sat with a mate who is a manager on the rails. He says the above statement should keep you well away from the network forever, his words, not mine.
  13. An artical from news today, the 7th of May? Splitting hairs, but...
  14. Isn't that always the case, out of interest where are you based?
  15. I was thinking local timber but now you've mentioned it I quite like the idea of reclaimed timber, if I go down the reclaimed route I'll post pictures here if I'm not sure what the timber is.
  16. Near enough, immigration from the Indian subcontinent started in the 50's, as you say, to fill the labour gap.
  17. I've just bought some cast iron bench ends that I'm going to shot blast and powder coat, what would be the best wood for the slats and what would be best to treat the slats?
  18. Yes, I skimmed over that earlier, foreigners all ways tend to stick together in certain areas. There's no if's and but's about that, but that also means there are areas like Cornwall and Suffolk that have very few foreigners, swings n roundabouts.
  19. Fair point, and I agree, corruption is corruption. Remember Gove sending out pre-paid envelopes (for postal voting) addressed to his own office? Most, not all of them, are as bent as a nine bob note.
  20. That will always be the case, it's like Brits moving to Spain, most of them gather together in places like Beni or on the costa del sol.
  21. I wonder if Neil Parish watched all the tractor porn or just the trailers?
  22. And seeing as only 4.4% of the population of the UK are Muslims (the folk who use mosques) that argument doesn't hold much water imho.
  23. That'll do, oh will it? Mosques only tend to swing marginal seats, let's face it, the only reason Boris wants voter ID (and nothing more) is to swing the vote in the conservatives favour. The young, very old and the apathetic won't bother getting an ID just to vote. Wake up and smell the coffee, it's voter rigging in plain view.
  24. I don't really disagree with that, but that isn't what Boris is suggesting, he only wants ID cards as proof of Identity for voting... I wonder why that is?
  25. Perhaps he was looking for a big end.
