  1. I'm done, I could sit here until the tanker arrives debating this but I'm going to read a book instead.
  2. You are making a fool of yourself.
  3. This statement tells me all I need to know... you have no idea what I'm going to say, I presume you've assumed what I'm going to say. Let's face it, not one person this evening has agreed with you.
  4. Public sector mentality, it was still about when I started on the water authority, although it had been privatised before I got there. 08:00-16:00 deliveries expected at a site, (in this case an hospital) that is open 24/7/365. Deliveries to stores in hospitles are a joke, I've been turned away many times trying to deliver pumps 'out of hours'.
  5. With that sort of travel time and a small solar panel, and perhaps a small inverter to run a mains charger something like this should do well for your needs. You just need to find the space now. Durite Split Charge Relay Kits 4WAYSTRETCH.CO.UK This for a Durite Split Charge Voltage Sensitive Intelligent Relay 12V 140A 0-727-33 , 110 amp KitThe split charge...
  6. An inverter could be used so a mains charger could used, but it's a lot of wasted battery power converting 12 volt to 240v to step it back down to run the charger(s).
  7. Most leisure batteries would be bigger than a small car battery, could you not tuck one under a seat, or maybe under slung? If you search for leisure batteries some of them will state the dimensions.
  8. You are asking to pull the starter battery down Doug, I’d add a leisure battery and a split charge relay, or even one of those small solar panels to leave on the dashboard to keep the leisure battery topped up.
  9. This is the only sort of inflation Les knows about.
  10. Ta, I'll look into it.
  11. I don't but I suppose I could get a login, wouldn't that just give me a name but no contact details?
  12. The property is empty, I don't know who owns it. My guess is a builder has bought it, done it up and is moving it on.
  13. Aye I know, I want this cottage and I've upped my offer once to the asking price, now the agent has come back saying someone else as also bid the asking price and do I want to up my offer. I've no way of finding out if that's the truth or not.

Whoopty doo, I taxed my van yesterday and it's still showing untaxed as I type. Perhaps it goes in alphabetical order, Dave gets his before Egg gets his.
  15. Fill ya boots.
  16. Good spot, I was sitting here in silence contemplating whether the fecking estate agent is trying to rip me off over a cottage I'm trying to buy.
  17. This little fella just flew in.

I wouldn't normally be bothered about it but I've got a job in Walsall tomorrow, nearly 40 miles down the M6. I know it's legit and I have the Ref number but sitting in the back of a police car while they check it isn't very appealing.

That's why I said that above. My question is, do the police and cameras use the same information to check.

Taxed my van yesterday and it's showing untaxed on the Gov website, money has gone out of my bank and I've got the Ref number. Looking into it it can take up to 5 days to update on the system, some point having an automated system! I wonder if the police or ANPR use the same system to check?
  21. Older than me and you, he's a tiresome bloke. Facebook M.FACEBOOK.COM
  22. You want to worry more about those above us taking pounds out of our pockets rather than those 'below' us.
  23. Not at all, I've always said hard graft pays and I have no time for the feral, feckless and long term useless. It's more your interpretation of what I type rather than what I actually type. Apart from the few times I've used the NHS I can't think of any time I've taken out of the system that I've paid into for most of my working life, no child benefits, nothing. What I do realise is there are people less fortunate than me.
  24. When the German substitute came on holding a note I thought it was her shopping list.
