  1. Everything I said above is true.
  2. I presume you are talking about the Priti 'gag', if so it was intended.
  3. That's an hour of my life I'll never get back, Sunak and Truss head to head in Stoke-on-Dope, well, it's monkey dust in reality. They've not a clue, Sunak said he's already pumped £50 million into the city, that's a start on the demolition of the rundown, burnt out factories, now where is the money to start rebuilding? Truss said she will put, 'spades in the ground' in areas like Stoke, that sounded more like something Priti would say. They are dreaming, the city is toast. I've been in a handful of times since last November and it's uncomfortable even in the day time. I don't know the answers, and I'm damn sure neither of those two do.
  4. I think it was @Hodgeof this parish said he was getting a fair discount by using fuel cards recently.
  5. My pleasure.
  6. I've always had you down as a bit of a tool, you've now confirmed it.
  7. Really! 10% inflation is bearable when wages are stagnating? I've a feeling the put up and shut up attitude isn't going to last. Barristers, medical staff, rail workers, et el are on strike or being balloted to go on strike. It is not bearable for lots of people.
  8. The Daily Mail would have you believe so.
  9. Still here, that said I didn't work yesterday.
  10. It's a good job Corbyn didn't get in, he'd have dragged us back to the seventies with spiralling inflation energy costs going through the roof and strikes here there and everywhere. Oh hang on.
  11. I get what you are saying but the above seems to be a stumbling block, I don't know anyone that's had a 9.4% pay rise.
  12. How does it work, in laymans terms please. I thought it was when wages go up the price of other stuff goes up, Which can be a good thing? Uncontrolled inflation, I believe is a bad thing. So why is inflation going up when wages aren't. Is profit driving up inflation, but not aiding the working man/woman? like I say, laymans terms.
  13. Sandbach area 18, I'll have to look for the UID when I'm back at my box.
  14. Cheers Kev, I'll give it a look tomorrow. Made the fatal mistake of finishing work early then going to the pub at lunchtime so it makes little sense at the moment.
  15. I wish mate, I can only afford this cottage because I have the money from my last place.
  16. Those manly men forgot to call the rest of us woke snowflakes.
  17. Like most things I get involved in this is an oddball, the house is at one end of four cottages right on the edge, but still in the CA. There are no porches on the other three properties. The rest of the Cul-de-Sac are outside the CA, Basically there is nothing in this road to compare it with.
  18. Ok, thanks. It doesn't sound as arduous as I'd imagined.
  19. Anyone live in a conservation area, I understand there are restrictions on what work can be done to the property but how rigorous are things in the real world? I'm looking at buying a 2up 2down cottage in a CA, the front door opens into the living room, if all goes to plan I'd like to have a porch built, would I get PP for it if it was in keeping with the area? Obvs I'll seek legal advice before I make a move, just wondering if others have had building work done in a CA and was it painful to get things passed?
  20. Yep, lads around Stoke would break into MOT stations just to nick the MOT book, if they could get the tools away that was a bonus for them! Seems like a lifetime ago.
  21. It's one of them Doug, when I was in East Anglia, my mate Slippery Jim could get most motors passed if they weren't to far out. Lots of these cheap end motors have money in them if you can fix the dash warning lights.
  22. I'm by no strength a used car dealer and never want to be, I can see where there is money to be made in them mind, dashboard warning lights that are MOT failures put the vast majority off buyers of. Most are easily fixed with a test meter and a bit of thinking.
  23. Nothing to do with sidelines then.
  24. You can tell the sun is out, it's got to him. Who mentioned Arb kit?
