Plenty of good Mp’s about from both the major party’s, David Amess was a well thought about conservative who served his constituency well. You try to argue much more than you should.

And to suggest he is a proper conservative is nonsense, proper tories would, and do shake their heads at him.

I don’t Know about your area but most fire and rescue staff in Suffolk are retained, I worked with two on the water authority. Both worked full time and responded to shouts if they were available.

Nodding off is one thing, spread out like you are on a chaise lounge is another. I’m not sure it would wake ‘em up, it seems they can do what they please and still stay in a job.

I must admit I get to put my feet up if I’m waiting on a tanker, but on the whole people don’t get to sleep on the job. It’s the audacity to do it in parliament that grinds a bit.

England grinds to an alt with that amount of snow, it hit -10.5 on the Moor yesterday and everything was on stop. It did rain mind which made the place like a skating rink.

We’ve got the biggest bunch of corrupt Tory’s that have had the country away for billions and you pick up on Starmer’s £400k. Although I agree with you sometimes, other times I think you need to give your head a wobble.

Labour can’t win, get comrade Corbyn in and he’s too far left, swap him out for Starmer and he’s a champagne socialist. That said they’ve only had two leaders in recent times.
