  1. If he’s spoiling things for you block him mate, I’ve never used the function because I like watching people make fools of themselves.
  2. Between Worcester and Brum is a fair area to try to help someone who’s asked to find storage. So what if you are overlooked, there’s 24/7 security on that yard. No doubt you’ll know best.
  3. This is a small container yard near me, ping me a postcode and I’ll see where the nearest one to you is.
  4. This is what happens when I find a bit of yard space.
  5. This is getting addictive, seen another tidy MK6 in Manchester, not exactly sure what’s wrong with it yet but he says it feels underpowered. And a Connect in Congleton with a knackered fuel pump, common fault with them. So I’m off to look at them both tomorrow. I promised myself I wouldn’t get back into buying old motors…
  6. rocker cover doesn’t need to come off, it’s tight but doable. Cost me 13 hundred quid including parts and getting it recovered, a bit of a gamble but it made £3,200. Tidiest MK6 about that I’ve seen.
  7. There’s tons of containers to rent in your area, or is it a yard you are after, which maybe more difficult? If you’ve exhausted the people you do know you need to be asking people you don’t know, friends of friends and their friends.
  8. That went well, a bit of faffiing but not a lot. They came out easy enough and my mate came around and put the new ones in, he very kindly bid me decent money on it so I sold it. If it was a medium or high top I’d have kept it.
  9. I can’t help in your area but there of plenty of container/storage yards around The Midlands but they are silly money. It’s taken me 18 months to find some yard space that isn’t extortionate. You’re going to have to keep door knocking to find somewhere.
  10. I’m sure you will enjoy it, historic city that doesn’t fail to impress.
  11. York is an excellent city, I stayed there when I worked on the roads, I’m sure your lass will have a cracking time down The Shambles.
  12. Nothing, but there’s a time and a place for it, on the other hand people might disagree.
  13. I don’t know trig, we could bang on about it forever, it still isn’t going to change what happened.
  14. … and If you remember correctly I wasn’t one of those.
  15. Lots here carried on as normal, I went out to earn my coin like lots of others did, your story is different due to the work you do. Yes, I genuinely feel sorry for the children that suffered, but what is done is done, we can’t change history, we can learn from it, but not change it.
  16. Banging on about it isn’t going to change history, the damage is done.
  17. A bit like saying you don’t see the problem with grey squirrels.
  18. Illegal to trap the little blighters,
  19. Yes, the ex Mrs Egg used to trap them on the Stour until the rangers took her traps.
  20. Mink decimated the fish stock in the river Stour in Sudbury, Suffolk many years ago when the anti’s broke into the local mink farm and set them all free.
  21. Best of luck to the lass.
  22. Great firsthand knowledge, I’ll follow this when I set about it on the weekend. Would you go genuine Ford seals that are eye watering expensive or are there pattern parts that will do a decent job?
  23. I’m not sure whether to keep it or not yet, it’s got to be one of the tidiest MK6’s I’ve seen in a good while, I see where you are coming from though. I’ll get stuck into this weekend and see how it goes.
  24. No, I think when you are face to face with someone you can gauge their meaning by their expressions, the written word can easily be taken the wrong way.
