  1. Did you get that straight out of the Daily Fail?
  2. The Shroppie is a weird but great cut. I learnt how to moore on springs there, it's one of the only canals that is tidal, well sort of, it takes the water from The Mersey and The Manchester Ship canal, water levels rise and fall like no other canal. Grab some pictures. slack ropes.
  3. Come on @TIMON no pictures it didn't happen.
  4. Missed this, if a four man crew is needed I'll get some pictures for trig.
  5. Out of the few I had I my last garden two were a lot worse than that and still yielded a good crop, I had a local bloke in to prune them each winter.
  6. Ten years ago I was buying in round wood for £55/ton delivered and selling at £100/m2, there wasn't any money in it then. Give it a miss, plenty of easier ways to make a living.
  7. I've got an older brother I turn to in those times, not the same but I've not known much different. My old man died when I was young.
  8. Is that not worse? People were told what would happen, two lots that weren't worth a light mind.
  9. Don't torture yourself bud, it's one of them!
  10. It's a fecker @Stubby mum had it, a good strong woman, matriarch, we couldn't do owt with it. Sorry bud.
  11. Used to kick the streets with Levi little, he was known as Smally in the hood.
  12. I'm gutted you didn't pick me.
  13. Keep on keeping on, it's hard splitting with a long time partner even if it is on good terms.
  14. Excellent pitch, is that a septic tank under the tin cover?
  15. I'm looking forward to having a go, and Paul coming down to show me the ropes is a bonus before I go and spend any money.
  16. I was pulling ya chain trig, looks a nice bit of kit for a oner.
  17. You would have the super duper one wouldn't you...
  18. It's years since I bought round wood in, it was by the ton. Went out by the m2.
  19. Putting a load of split ready to burn logs over a weighbridge just ain't going to happen, if you want a non standard commodity buy round wood in and store/ split it as you see fit.
  20. How do you suggest it changes, every load over a weighbridge?
  21. Normally firewood is sold by the loose load.
  22. Cracker. My ol' work mate out of Dereham always calls me Ol' bewt.
  23. I would say that more are ploughed in still around here, it's pretty much only the fields that Rape is going on get direct drilled.
  24. After the fields have been ploughed.
  25. Not at all Ed, bring a tent if you fancy it. Paul and his mate are camping, which I can only imagine a few drinks will be consumed.
