  1. If he still needs a locksmith nearly 4 years after the event he's in trouble.
  2. You could well be right Ken, I've just put the reg in the gov website and it comes back as a 2.4. The MOT definitely says it's a 2.2 though.
  3. I like that, makes perfect sense now you've said it. I've got access to a mates diagnostics if I need it, a lot of the DB11 readers don't seem to like the MK6/MK7 crossovers for some reason?
  4. Yes, we know it's excess fuel/lack of air but why straight after the MOT? We can blank the EGR for around a fiver, that will be the first try. Ratty suggested the DPF but I'm not sure the early MK7's had one, I'll give it a look. I'm still of the mind revving the knackers off it for the emissions test started this, well, I'm hoping so for his sake.
  5. Will do.
  6. This is definitely a 2.2 and has a chain rather than belt, I spoke with @Ratman earlier he's given me a few things to look at, but us being us we will try blanking the EGR first and see if it stops smoking after an Italian tune-up.
  7. This was my thought, the truck doesn't go far and my mate is a plodder. Also, due to Covid it got a 6 month extension for the MOT, so not been tested for 18 months. I just thought it would have cleared over a 3-4 mile journey home, but I'm no mechanic.
  8. A mate of mines got a 56 plate 2.2 Transit tipper, after PASSING its MOT/emissions test he was driving it the 3-4 miles home from the garage when it started smoking, black smoke, a lot of it. Coincidence, or something to do with the emissions test?
  9. Plasterer says to the boy, "I bet you can't lift that bag of plaster over your head", the boy lifts it over his head and the plasters mate nips in from behind and slashes the bag with a Stanley knife, one boy covered in plaster.
  10. Seen some classics on sites over the years, The lads had told the boy that the pull start was knackered on the disc cutter and the only way was to bump start it. The boy was running with the disc on the ground trying to get it to start.
  11. Don't say I didn't offer.
  12. 1: yes. 2: yes. 3: No, (if it all comes out in the wash I'm happy).
  13. Speak to your accountant before you do anything, that's why you pay them.
  14. I'd be having a ring round a few engineering shops, be cheaper than buying a tap of that size.
  15. Say again.
  16. If you need a hand with the technical side give me a shout?
  17. Years ago, you'll probably remember?, we had things called bows and arrows, very sharp dangerous things in the wrong hands!
  18. You got a ticket for that, my boy?
  19. Basically then, it's ok to have a shotgun/rifle that can do serious harm to people and property but not a chainsaw?
  20. What training did you get to let you use a shotgun/rifle?
  21. Nope, you need a certificate for a shotgun, not a license.
  22. Of course they have a disregard for all other laws, by the way I'm going to Barnard Castle to watch this years Boxing Day hunt.
  23. The terrier lads have carried on but they are usually out of the way where they aren't seen, when the likes of me go once a year to the Boxing Day hunt and see terrier lads blocking bolt holes or digging it doesn't look good. Nothing to do with being anti, I wouldn't go else. But ffs if you (they) are going to do something illegal keep your head down, don't flaunt it.
  24. Where the hunts fall down is the blocking of bolt holes, and terrier lads digging on earths to get foxes "up". In my eyes a fox should get the chance to go to ground.
  25. Should have got a Zedlock to secure their property.
