  1. Having looked at recent figures it looks like we've copped it because of Ipswich where the number of cases has almost doubled in the last couple of weeks, all the other boroughs in Suffolk have seen a fall in cases.
  2. Suffolk is tier 2, how that works I'm not sure.
  3. D'plane.
  4. But he can't get a telehandler in.
  5. Maradona died, I know he robbed us in 86, but he was something special.
  6. I saw one moved with two fork trucks, but if most people are like me they don't have two fork trucks at home.
  7. First thing that came into my head when I read the OP.
  8. I've heard about your strong leaders before.
  9. Everyone knows what Corbyn is, that's why Boris got a 80 majority. Evryone knows what Patel is, that's why she's still got a seat.
  10. Probably best kept between you and your wee sweaty when you are all cuddled up.
  11. I've no idea what you are talking about young lady.
  12. It's very nice of you to think of me David, thank you. I've already got a fat bird sorted for Christmas, it will be going in the oven on Christmas morning.

  15. First proper frost this morning, it's f f freezing.
  16. It's been floating around the Motorhome, camper forums for a couple of days. Apparently they are a bunch of students from Leeds Uni who pay their way with social media channels. You can see how smart they are they are trying to find somewhere on the NC500 to get a coffee, did they not realise there's a kitchen in the back of the van.
  17. It's the use of the cheapest suitable material to get your levels to lay the surface course on which is always the most expensive material on the job. Here's a rubbish picture of a regulated driveway, you can see a different material has been used to get the levels up. After all you don't want to put 40mm of topping in a footpath if the spec for the job is 30mm.
  18. Yes they will bind down even if they have stood for months but much better if you can get them straight off the job, when using older plannings we used to rake out and lightly spray with red diesel to soften the tar before the roller went over.
  19. You have to get in early to get good planings, when I worked on the roads it's the first thing we tried to do, find somewhere to tip, usually FOC to get rid of them. Thats not to say it's impossible, remember the lads who drive the tarmac lorries are virtually all owner drivers, if you can find them and are willing to pay you can bet your life the drivers will tip with you rather than at the official tip site.
  20. £200/20ton tipper straight off the job.
  21. It is, but you ideally need the manpower to get it laid as soon as possible, again ideally you want only the wearing course straight off the planer while it's still warm, once the planer gets going it won't be stopping and they soon fill a 20 ton bulk tipper, plenty of lads on rakes and shovels and someone who's sole job it is to get it rolled in. But yes it's way cheaper that way.
  22. Cheeky git, I'll have you know I raced a mate of mine between two local pubs which are 5 miles apart, I had to only do the return leg, my mate had to do the return journey there and back, he was on a super bike I was on the scooter, he beat me!?
  23. I worked it out on the information available, minimal prep, so repair potholes, sweep it off then overlay the original drive. 450 meters * 3 meters = 1350 Msq @ £40/ meter = £54k. Would be another £15-£20 meter if not more if sub base was required.
  24. I did think it might be a sticking point?
