  1. Although this news broke nearly 3 hours ago this is the first I've found locally online. All north Essex primary schools to stay CLOSED for start of term WWW.EADT.CO.UK
  2. Flicking between R4, and LBC. Surely they aren't both making this up?
  3. Get a grip trig, and follow the breaking news.
  4. A lot in Cheshire have just pulled the plug, these aren't just Councils pulling schools out its headteachers and governors. Hang on, two schools in Suffolk have just pulled out.
  5. Let's get this right, a Conservative County Council like Essex are playing political games?
  6. Liverpool has just followed.
  7. I had a look on the calculator, I'm 50 in a few weeks time, my expected date for vacation is April to July 2022.
  8. Essex County Council have just closed every primary school in the county, parts of Surrey have followed suit.
  9. This simply is not correct, since the 1970's the average age of an MP is 50 years of age. According to guidance they are not in the at risk category, those who are at risk should stay home, but lots aren't.
  10. Again yes, the bit I don't get is, if those extremely intelligent people in the house can't be safe by social distancing how do they expect children at school to do so?
  11. Yep, we'll not pay politicians who should be sitting tomorrow but voted to have another week off because the house isn't Covid safe.
  12. Is it my suspicious mind, or is the reason Boris won't close all the schools because he knows the teaching unions will pull their members out and he can say, well I didn't close the schools, the unions did?
  13. It took me a moment.
  14. It's Raydon in Suffolk, Hadleigh/Ipswich way.
  15. I didn't go without beer i just drank what I had to fast.
  16. I'm being a right rebel this NYE, I've run out of beer and put three rasors of bacon under the grill, I'm tellin' ya, I'm down with the kids.
  17. An employer sure as hell can dictate what an employee can do down here, my last employed contract, on the books, I had to declare (like I did!) any work done outside of the work I did for them. If it breached the working time directive you weren't meant to do it.
  18. Nearly got sacked from the water authority for leaving a cover off unattended, years back. I'd barriered it off but some clowns Jack Russel wanted a closer look.
  19. Shouldn't effect you much Sam... only joking, Merry new year.
  20. Sounds a lovely job, oh hang on.
  21. If they weren't needed in the first place I'd like to know who got the contracts to supply the materials to build them.
  22. They are trying to get the beet in here, it isn't going well.
  23. It seems to be the same all over, all the ground here is saturated, my brother tells me it's the same in the Midlands. Grass ain't always greener elsewhere.
  24. Probably not, that doesn't take away from the fact that the prison system doesn't even try to rehabilitate those that could be helped.
  25. 300 quid, right!
