  1. I that was correct it would be great, drivers left in their droves because the pay and facilities were shit. Talking to our kid, the money isn't bad but the facilities and the way drivers are treated in RDC's is diabolical.
  2. Why do we have a minister for transport and no minister for tree surgeons?
  3. Governments for years have known there is/was a massive shortage of drivers and did nothing about it, like most things they only sort stuff out when the muck hits the spinny round thing.
  4. What's the point in ministers telling the public not to panic if the message isn't relayed to the public? We'd all be up in harms, saying things like, we are being kept in the dark, when it was leaked.
  5. When the Secretary of State for Transport comes out and says there is no need to panic over fuel shortages it causes panic. Anyway, there was no diesel available at Tesco today so I bought 100 bog rolls instead.
  6. How about bringing the military in to drive trucks in the short term, there must be tons of military personnel who have hgv licenses.
  7. Yes, monkey dust and spice. £2/hit I'm told, madness but that's what happens when places get rundown, unfortunately.
  8. To be fair I'm not interested, I'll run on red if there is no white diesel available. We have had a massive shortage of drivers for years, but the Europeans naffing off with no one to replace them hasn't helped the situation. The money is there for drivers now but there are few facilities available for them. I can see why people wouldn't want the job.
  9. It's getting like that in parts of S-o-T, not on that scale but it's getting there.
  10. MSM again? How about the government who are known liars keeping it shut, don't panic people leads to panic. Also it's not so easy to get tanker drivers, my brother is a driver who looked into getting ADR qualified, if he could, which he can't find anywhere to do the training it would take weeks if not months.
  11. I went to the bakers earlier a journey that normally takes me 20 minutes there and back, over an hour today because everywhere is backed up with traffic trying to get in to petrol stations.
  12. Boris tells us not to panic over fuel shortage, guess what... there is NO fuel in Sudbury unless you drive an emergency vehicle. Red diesel it is then.
  13. You'll probably last longer than some of us 'youngsters'... only the good die young...
  14. He wasn't a northerner now residing in Kent by any chance?
  15. Right next to that downpipe.
  16. If it's an earth problem attach a jump lead to the pump earth, attach the other end of the jump lead to a cleaned up part of the chassis. You've now earthed the pump motor.
  17. If so, easy enough to diagnose with a jump lead.
  18. My mate Slippery Jim reckons there is a mesh filter on the return that could be blocked, don't know if that is right though.
  19. Nicked off Facebook, it's raining a bit here.
  20. Not that I'm aware of, you'll have to catch the oil.
  21. I presume it's all sorted now?
  22. The opposite end to the threaded studs, the studs will have the wiring attached to them.
  23. You are looking for something like this, the valve is on the opposite end.
  24. In the valve is a restrictor which stops the bed slamming down when you press the down button, it doesn't take much at all for the restrictor to become blocked. Take it off and blow it through.
