  1. You've posted a picture that states exactly what the Tories are doing, they are the highest taxing government since the 1970's.
  2. Could you remind Boris Johnson of number 3.
  3. Panic lying😂
  4. If you can afford to loose it... Demolition of Surrey 'hidden castle' almost complete WWW.BBC.CO.UK The demolition of a mock Tudor castle, built without planning permission, is almost complete.
  5. Did it when I worked on the roads, 12 hour nights, week one was 84 hours/week, week two was 60 hours with the weekend off. Wouldn't fancy it now mind. He says sitting in the van waiting for a tanker.
  6. It's not out of reach, my nephew and his partner have just bought their own place, his words to me, "it's fecking expensive getting a house ain't it, Simon". When I asked my brother, his dad why he hadn't helped him, he said, "I let him sweat it, now he's got a place I'll pay for all the furnishings". Harsh in my eyes. But shows it can be done.
  7. Are you suggesting people don't regularly do 12 hour shifts?
  8. It's madness, £15/ hour is out of the way, my mate is in the process of buying a 3rd of an acre that he can't build on, it's basically a big garden... £80k. I kid you not.
  9. You're a smart kid, now tell us how to fix it.
  10. Did you save for your first house, or did your parents help you out, like mine did?
  11. Let's presume you are renting a room, (around here) at say, £550/month. How do you save for a deposit on a mortgage?
  12. Let's get this right, you asked, almost told me that Veg pickers on the Lincs Fens were/ could earn £30/hour, yet you have nothing to back it up... or have I minssed something? I think the Fens would be full of folk working 10 hours/day if £300 was achievable.
  13. Yeah, give it a miss. Living in a Motorhome should be a lifestyle choice, not a 'make do' sort of thing. Get a job on a factory that pays £10-£11/hour and stay where you are.
  14. If £200/day is plenty for a subbie why are you, being the main contractor rattling on about the price of shelter?
  15. Yes, but let's not pretend this is all due to Brexit, it's been coming for many years. I've done it like many here have done it, paid subbies £150-£200/day when the job COULD pay much more. Is levelling up happening?
  16. It's not to do with me rolling my eyes or disagreeing, I realise everyone shouldn't be paid £15/hour. Where does it stop mind? I pay you £8.91/hour, you claim UC to top up your wages. Who's doing the topping up... did I hear someone say, "the rest of us"? How is it right that big businesses turn millions in profit while the rest of us supplement their payroll.
  17. And this is where you and most others are missing the elephant, it's not Government money. It's our money that businesses are taking off us by not paying a proper living wage.
  18. What we should do is pay people the minimum wage so the rest of us can top up those people with UC, business owners are on a winner, oh hang on.
  19. At the top end you'd be paying a weeks wages each month before tax to rent a room with a shared kitchen and bathroom.
  20. No choice ya mean.
  21. Is anyone going to answer the original question, or are we all focused on £15/hour?
  22. Funded by who Cock?
  23. Possibly not, maybe misspent money? Either way, who's in control of it?
  24. Strange innit, vote for austerity, and you get...?
  25. If you can hit the numbers, what they don't tell you is, the numbers are almost unacheivable. Do you know differently? When were you last picking Veg on the Lincs Fens?
