  1. Let's get this right, you asked, almost told me that Veg pickers on the Lincs Fens were/ could earn £30/hour, yet you have nothing to back it up... or have I minssed something? I think the Fens would be full of folk working 10 hours/day if £300 was achievable.
  2. Yeah, give it a miss. Living in a Motorhome should be a lifestyle choice, not a 'make do' sort of thing. Get a job on a factory that pays £10-£11/hour and stay where you are.
  3. If £200/day is plenty for a subbie why are you, being the main contractor rattling on about the price of shelter?
  4. Yes, but let's not pretend this is all due to Brexit, it's been coming for many years. I've done it like many here have done it, paid subbies £150-£200/day when the job COULD pay much more. Is levelling up happening?
  5. It's not to do with me rolling my eyes or disagreeing, I realise everyone shouldn't be paid £15/hour. Where does it stop mind? I pay you £8.91/hour, you claim UC to top up your wages. Who's doing the topping up... did I hear someone say, "the rest of us"? How is it right that big businesses turn millions in profit while the rest of us supplement their payroll.
  6. And this is where you and most others are missing the elephant, it's not Government money. It's our money that businesses are taking off us by not paying a proper living wage.
  7. What we should do is pay people the minimum wage so the rest of us can top up those people with UC, business owners are on a winner, oh hang on.
  8. At the top end you'd be paying a weeks wages each month before tax to rent a room with a shared kitchen and bathroom.
  9. No choice ya mean.
  10. Is anyone going to answer the original question, or are we all focused on £15/hour?
  11. Funded by who Cock?
  12. Possibly not, maybe misspent money? Either way, who's in control of it?
  13. Strange innit, vote for austerity, and you get...?
  14. If you can hit the numbers, what they don't tell you is, the numbers are almost unacheivable. Do you know differently? When were you last picking Veg on the Lincs Fens?
  15. If £15/hour is out of the way for a lot of people why is it acceptable that a house share (around here) costs £450-£600/month. Not that I'm saying either is right or wrong, just curious.
  16. "A former member of the traveling community", what's that mean? If he now lives in a pile of bricks he's still a traveler. It's a bit like saying, he was a Brummie but he's moved to Wolverhampton so he isn't a Brummie anymore.
  17. Timed breaks remind me of doing site work years back when a claxon was sounded for breaks.
  18. He knows it's nonsense really, he also knows I was a shop steward when I worked for the water authority. When it came 'to it' we weren't worth a light. We could go in and have our say but big business walked all over us, the unions weren't worth a wa*k. Thats why I took VR and started on my own. Edit: he also knows I was a Rep, not a Shop Steward...
  19. What nonsense, a young'un on a good gang/team soon learns how to pull their weight. People call pulling their balls out in Mrs Miggins bush fun or heroic. Strange world. People do fiscally well because they know their trade because they've worked hard to master it.
  20. Does anyone really watch the clock? Eat when you are hungry and drink when you are dry.
  21. I've never got my head around it. Egg.
  22. He is, I wonder what would be worse. Being dead or being in fear of being attacked every time he's on the landing.
  23. Ok, you know best. Can you tell us why millions of pounds are paid out each year for miscarriages of justice? retropective law?, apart from war crimes I can't think of any, I'm sure there must be more mind.
  24. Even if he's in segregation, one day someone will get at him. No one, and I mean no one can be 100% safe in prison, someone will get themself on the segregation wing to serve their kind of justice on him... sooner the better imo.
  25. They must realise we know they are full of shit? I just don't know why he would tweet those things, he volunteered that information, it's not like he was being pressed for an answer. Shotrage of Iron Bru, now that could cause serious disorder North of the border...
