  1. half the fun of a big husky is the dang, dang, dang noise from exhaust
  2. horse chestnut any good for logs, got 2 huge trees worth, standing dead for 3 years +, seems a shame not to turn it into logs:thumbup:
  3. thanks for all he comments guys, if he ever answers his phone i can arrange a meeting, i havent heard hide nor hair from him in a year and then he springs this on me,the grounds certainly havent deteriorated over the last year, as said before i only improve them, well see what he says when i ever manage to get hold of him
  4. thanks mate, ireally feel like burying him up to his neck and kicking him in the face every time i walk by
  5. right, to cut a long story short, ive been looking after 2 sites (residential care homes) all of a sudden the md is dissapointed with the grounds, ive worked for him for 8 years and my standards have never slipped, in my opinion the grounds just get better and better every year, with me adding more flower beds etc, i think that he is trying to get me out for some reason,i charge 12 quid an hour and visit the sites no less than 50 times a year( the bigger of the 2 , twice a week in the growing season) just need to know where i stand as regards to if he can just out me for no reason other than that he might possibly get it done cheaper
  6. think 20" might be pushing it a bit, but 18" would be ok, keep chain nice and sharp tho, and up the oil pump to nearly max
  7. all sorted now thanks to bob, cheers

just got one myself to go with a pair of 268's, i just need that elusive 288xp now
  18. very interesting, just been looking at husqvarna brazil site and they still produce the 272 and 288 xp , i suppose just for the brazilian market:thumbup1:
  19. one of the first things i did was to take exhaust off and check spark arrest screen(hasnt got one) but havent checked the actual exhaust for coke, also ive noticed where the 2 carb screws fix into plastic housing to fix the carb,i cant tighten them up as the threads seem to be shot, im guessing i could be getting an air leak there, need to find a way to fill holes and re tap a thread some how, or i could set fire to it and go and buy a new strimmer lol
  20. husq 232 strimmer starts ok , runs for a while (30 seconds) then dies, under load cant work out if its flooding or starved of fuel, new carb kit fitted and carb adjusted l1 h1 , just think ive got it running right then get the whab whab and then picks up to full throttle then the whab whab again and i havent been drinking lol, any ideas
  21. it certainly has a cr£p inlet set up
  22. as above, also idle a bit erratic, cable is free, and all seems ok in the carb??
  23. oh yeah 15,500, real whizzers, 254 xp a close second i reckon
  24. 242 is rated at 15000 rpm!!
  25. now the original coil off the dead saw is now working??? think im going mad
