  9. Cheers for the comments lads can't wait to be a dad they both gonna be boys so might be a couple more climbers coming into the world lol and don't panic aa teccie I only lowered a few tips near the old listed wall Simon just let them run so no shock I know how easily they fail in that condition taken one down with the help of a crane before didn't feel we needed it on this job thanks for your concern though mate will take any advice given to me especially regarding health and safety
  10. Don't think people realise how much work is involved processing trees they get a shock when it's all on the deck I think getting them down is by far the easy bit usually. Think your right arbclimber just people been taking the michael with our good nature lately!
  11. To be honest wasn't much lowering managed to get away with a lot of it don't like shock loading when they got ustulina just took small bits off first and built my way up to see how it reacted felt really strong will probably get ripped to bits here but lowering equipment consists of a rope sometimes a block I'm a bit old fashioned for a young lad
  12. You climbed well youngen done me proud!
  13. I know mate I keep pricing a job for a take down and they say leave the timber as it lies wel sort it I got a saw then at the end of the job it's "you couldn't just cut it into rings could you?" then that's not good enough they want me to quater them might as well chop them up and light the fire too lol think I might put a bit extra on because you know they gonna ask you to do it
  14. Hello rovers90 I'm quite new to this site too just started my tree surgery firm over consett way I don't do a lot of work over Newcastle way but would like to do more if I'm ever over that way you would be welcome to any timber I have saves me dragging it up over these hills on the way home lol

  17. Aye watched it mate need to watch it again cos was a bit tipsy Daley was obviously frustrated and made a stupid move it's a shame like think our lads need some better take down defence, it nice to see some belts change hands lately keeps it interesting
  18. I would do your best to go new if you can I've had a few second hand saws and usually bought someone elses problem but if you have to go second hand put a thread on here sure you will get an honest sale and like the other lads are saying the 026 goes well for it's size I like the 044 for an all round ground saw but different people like different saws hope this helps
