Sounds like: 1) Manual carb is fine as it shouldn’t need tweaking anyway. 2) Auto tune keeps saw running at ‘peak performance’ potentially masking engine issues. 3) Replacement Auto tune is useless as it won’t do anything until I have crossed the palm of ‘the service program’ with silver. Possibly a pretty compelling argument for staying manual.

I think the OP was referring to testing a function rather than being in ‘normal’ use. Watch the first test in the video he included, and you’ll see what he’s trying to replicate.

Never really considered this for battery saws, so I just tried it on a Husqvarna battery top handle…. The inertia brake worked as in the vid, with the exception that I had to hold the saw far higher above the log to get the brake to act. It is possible you are not being ‘violent’ enough.

Ok, so the blades are a bit blunt, and maybe a few adjustments are required, but don’t loose sight of the real news story here, namely, the thing seems to have run a whole day without breaking down.

Always done a truckers hitch with double loops. using the bottom loop to provide the 2:1 advantage.
