  1. It wont be permanent. Squashed nerves almost always recover fully.
  2. I dont know anyone who has been asked to prove cs39 before buying a top handle either.
  3. I haven't.
  4. No wonder he's a muppet, he looks like Michael Winner
  5. Is that actually him Felix?
  6. Wasn't sarcasm mate. You have 100 times more experience than me when it comes to saws and chippers and I value your experience accordingly.
  7. The great thing about sites like this is we dont need a head to head to know which one is best. We have experienced guys like Borders training and others, who have used both machines, giving their honest opinion. What could be better than that.
  8. Dont ask me, i'm still on the Komet Evolution:blushing:
  9. Lets talk about bikes, so much more interesting than saws.
  10. Thought so mate. Wasn't being critical, just thought i'd point it out.
  11. Win friends and influence people. Very interesting choice of phrase there. I dont think you want the thread heading in that direction. That may interfere with your search for 'particularly receptive people' and Alan wont be pleased.
  12. All will be revealed in the marketing thread mate. Been meaning to answer a few web site based questions on there and this will go a long way to answering them. For the record I agree with you about the personality and all that kind of stuff. Its just from a technical point, there are far better ways to do it. And most importantly, at no greater expense.
  13. The old dogs certainly are on the ball on this thread:001_tt2:
  14. Listen to the old dog. He knows stuff:thumbup1:
  15. No worries. Maybe ill use your site in the marketing thread as an example of what not to do. For that purpose it will be fantastic:001_tt2:
  16. And I meant, in my time as an arborist I never looked straight down the bar. This could go on all night so I think ill leave it at that.
  17. I never use a saw whilst looking straight down the bar, ever.
  18. I dont actually know the answer to your question mate. Just for me, I think the saw being able to keep the chain spinning quick mid cut,is more important than how fast it can spin it in the air.
  19. I dont think no load speed as important as the torque it develops to keep the chain spinning at max speed when cutting.
  20. I just thought you might be planning a bit of private prussiking practice.
  21. I dont think we want to know that mate:lol:
  22. Exactly why we hold saws the way we do. It should have just thrown the saw over his shoulder.
  23. The Torque is impressive. Very easy to overload though as it still pulls when its loaded with Yew and towing a chipper:thumbup1:.
