  1. Hope he doesn't get his Christian and gay ones mixed up.
  2. Very good, covert sarcasm:thumbup1: You'll fit in here just fine mate.
  3. See, I dont know what hama means about us lot being sarcastic. Maybe in a Mickey Mouse Lantra kind of way, but definately not in a proper NPTC kind of way.
  4. And have avatars designed by a 5 year old. Dont know what you mean about the sarcasm mate:001_tt2:
  5. Think thats the funniest thing i've read on here. Shane you are a genius:thumbup1:
  6. I cant see that you will earn any more doing tree work than you will as a bike mechanic. Just my own personal opinion but i'd keep doing what you are doing. Loads of places are short of decent bike mechanics, my bike always comes back with more wrong with it than it went in for.
  7. I get letters telling me what interest rate they will give me if I have over a million in the account for any period of time. Think they are taking the Mick:lol:
  8. Just a case of picking the best of a bad bunch:001_smile:
  9. If a bank told me I had to have an account for a year before they would let me have an overdraft id tell them to sod off.

    Birds!

    Looks like a conure.
  11. Strange how 2 people can have very different experiences of exactly the same service isn't it. I have found them very good, although I do wish my little local PO wouldn't close for lunch. I always seem to have to do some banking between 1 and 2, and never seem to remember they will be closed till I get there, maybe being stupid doesn't help:blushing:
  12. I have started using Alliance and Leicester for business banking. Very useful as you can use any post office as if it were a branch, in that you can pay money in with a deposit card and it shows on your account immediately. I'm finding it very useful as there is a post office down the road, but its miles to my nearest bank:thumbup1:
  13. Thanks for that. Glad someone will give us some info about those. Think GMTpro may have been a politician in a previous life. I couldn't get a straight answer out of him. Not that I expected him to say the CS was better obviously. Do you know if the GTS is similar style to the others, by that I mean is it also drum rather than flywheel type?
  14. 3 inch ones can get in places big ones cant:001_tt2: Suppose i'd best leave you two to discuss it. I've never used a 3 incher:001_tt2:
  15. Ill read answers to 18 stoners questions with interest also. I seem to be in the same position as not really understanding the benefits.
  16. If you were considering a foundation degree I assume you meet the entry requirements so there really is no point messing about with Cert or Dip level quals. IMO
  17. Afternoon Ad, wondered how long it would be till we were blessed with your presence on this thread again. Thought you might have had something to say. Hows your little 3 incher doing:001_tt2:
  18. Doesn't matter what I think anyway, I havent even got my NPTC chipper ticket. Sorry, I mean I haven't had my LANTRA training for my NPTC assessment for using a chipper:001_tt2:
  19. I think we may have just agreed on something then:thumbup1: Not sure how that happened.
  20. Yeh, I definately agree that the whole system needs to be in good condition, in order for it to work at its best. Just think that blades make more of a difference than anvil condition. Slightly different point, but still relevant, I think the clearance between blades and anvil is equally if not more important, than the condition of the anvil. I've worked with some awful machines that were completely transformed by setting the clearances properly.
  21. If they haven't got any trees plant a sapling, cable tie a bat box to it and tell them it will be at the proper height in about 20 years.
  22. Definately. If you already have ropes in the tree from work you are doing and they want to give you a few quid extra to put a bat box up, happy days:thumbup1: Rather than waiting to be asked, buy a couple of boxes, keep them in the truck, and bring them up in conversation whenever you are at a job. No advertising costs and no additional travel.
  23. Better than which TW mate?
  24. I'm not saying it cant do the job. I have never used one. Think I saw one in Abbey garden machinery, or maybe on their website. Just looked more domestic than pro thats all. So it is your machine then?
