  1. I have a lot of nptc's and lantra's, managing signing, lighting and guarding, first and second aid, full hgv license, hiabs, ipaf's, certificate in arb and a Tech cert.
  2. I remember your signature doing the rounds years gone by, well when i was at college and the film came out. If you like you can use my avatar i won't charge:laugh1:
  3. I watched it when i was run on fx quite a few months ago, really liked the whole thing and can't wait for the next season to be filmed.
  4. Do you know how far a can goes?
  5. Yes sides on the poles:thumbup:
  6. Agreed, all the compainies that i have had to take/threaten to court have an owner that thinks by not paying me for a £300 bill i'll just wright it off and they get that plus what they pumped me out at as profit:thumbdown:. Sadly for them i want my money and will happily pay £80 for a CCJ against them. I decided long ago i don't want to be a large scale company, just enough to pay for a nice holiday every other year. If someone can do the job much cheaper than me then i guess they want it more than me:biggrin:
  7. I think Hayden Platton will win it this year.
  8. I might use this to take over the world.... I'll call it the Private job tree work championship, whoever earns me the most money wins:lol:
  9. Just keep hydrated and do all the snedding if you can in the cooler part then change into jeans/fronts. I keep a drinks bottle on my harness although i have been looking at those hydration backpacks on treeworker.
  10. Yeah Both of them, Wills missus has just had his 1st born. Top climbers in Expert are hitting 11 seconds or less and the world record is only 9.09 so i think soon it will be broken again. Im aiming to get down to 12 seconds this year as i've built some better racing spikes over winter.
  11. Still 80ft but the Royal Welsh have 100ft poles. I guess you brother was using racing spikes??
  12. Most championship events have prize money for 1st-6th in both categorys. Although you have the newbury show near you which is one where the public can go up the poles at.
  13. Yeah we always have racing strops kicking around and if your feet are size ten then you can have a go in my racing spikes too. The racing strops are very ridged and make it very easy too none of that flex you get with a wire strop.
  14. Can't be no worse than my racing spikes falling apart at the APF making me hop from the bottom of the Husky sign to the button. The Game Fair in East Anglia has a 40ft pole. I might see if Capel are interested in arranging a 40ft pole.
  15. A few months before some events do run a have a try day. only belayers and people having a try. Do you think people ain't sure about having a go because of the large crowds?
  16. With a lil bit of Magic dust or for the upper class people their own genie.
  17. Sounds like the same kind of guys i've worked with in the past that leave the jockey wheel down and forget to put thew fuel can on.
  18. Frank might not be for you as they don't come covered in ivy:laugh1:
  19. Good points John. I've passed on to Terry & Lisa about the leaflets to colleges etc. T-shirts really depend on the event sponsor as you know there is a lot of prize money available at some events and prizes at others. I believe the husky tees might have something printed on the back unlike the world ones last year. The entries last year was pretty constant but they would like to put it out there more so for those who've not tried/never seen it.
  20. I think john summed it up a bit 15 seconds is in the top 2 places in novice class times but with a few runs is easily achievable. The average time in novice is mainly around the 18-27 second mark. You won't show yourself up Tony its not about how fast or how cool you look its about getting your own personal time and beating it, oh and enjoying the view from the top.
  21. Thats just bad luck! Although they do run over 3 days so you might be able to get to one day??
  22. I can't see the trailor for the brush. Bobcat is awesome:thumbup1:
  23. Got some shire horse blinkers if you like:laugh1:. They do run have a go days i think ben lightfoot on here attended one last year before woodfest.
  24. Hi Guys, I have Neil help me when i need him and can thoroughly recommend him. He always listens, always keeps the site clean and works bloomin hard. He learns quickly and is very good at lowering and gets the ropes back up quickly, he takes on advice and always want to learn how to do things/ expand his knowledge base. His on site manner is spot on, never late, untidy or swears and is easily bribed with Haribo starmix.
