Notice you won the tickets to Wembley stubby:thumbup1: Long drive but you,ll enjoy every minute:thumbup1:
  10. Just to derail my own thread, but the HARDEST (as in to cut) was a block that the sawmill wouldn't touch was African ironwood. I say block because apparently it was cut when green in to a block and was used as a stabiliser on the old sailing ships to stop the cargo going all over the place in high winds, nothing would cut it.
  11. :laugh1: Postage only?
  12. is it hornbeam paul?

  16. In your experience what is the heaviest wood?, I always found hornbeam the heaviest.
  17. Split it while its green, can be a right sod to split when seasoned
  18. nice bit of kit, and not the usual demo (straight softwood) All that for under a grand?
  19. Compared to others they are uncomfortable and you feel every bump in the road. But as a work vehicle you can depend on , nothing beats them.
  20. I think it depends what you want the truck for, if your looking for an ultra reliable work horse that you can depend on: hilux all the way. I take mine up to 350,000 miles and in their life they will probably need a set of batteries,a rear wheel bearing and maybe a radiator ,oh yeah and countless fog light switches. And that's if your unlucky.
  21. My son has designed a few web sites. [email protected]
  22. I think transport would kill it:laugh1: I think we,ve had our winter (all 2 weeks of it)
  23. Ive had a hilux in various mk,s since 1990 and wouldn't touch anything else. In my opinion they are worth the extra money as they keep their selling value, as you,ve found out. £5k should get you a very decent mk4 and a half decent mk5
  24. Do you want to buy some logs mate??
