  1. Surely if you just uprate the springs then the rest of the vehicle will be the weak link! that's inviting someone to overload the vehicle. 3.5t vehicles are pap.
  2. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  3. Ive been asked loads of times if i "wanna buy a saw blower etc" the way i see it, if people didn't buy it in the first place then the scum would't nick it!!
  4. I wish we had just put a back boiler in to start with! we gutted the house and put new everything back in. now im sat on an endless supply of logs, a wife who doesnt want the interior disturbing but insists on putting the GAS eating on that we have to pay for
  5. How quiet are those fans though? The 1 in the bathroom is stupidly loud
  6. Nice job there
  7. They just push the heat out into the room, I want to transfer some of it to another room
  8. Currently I am sat in the living room sweating in a pair of shorts, however the rest of the house is freezing! Has anybody installed ceiling/floor vents with or without a fan to move the heat around?
  9. I like that, why so high? What was it screening
  10. 1 we finished today, was a good job to do, nice easy dig. Just a shame about the 9' concrete posts!
  11. Girlfriend is a dental nurse and she tells me the dentists are on good money. However we took the cat to the vet recently and £65 for 10 mins work seems much better than a dentist
  12. what other line of buisness do you do other than tree work? Are they successful? Is there anything you wish you had done a long time ago that would have made you better off financially. I'm trying to plan for the future so while I'm fit and able I want to try and exploit as many different ideas as possible.
  13. Job from hell m8! Ground was solid, had to use breaker on every hole, took about 15 mins 2 men to dig 1 hole. Turned out good in the end
  14. They never sag, the posts are 1.8 apart so never really had an issue
  15. I have seen that before but have never done it myself. we get most of the materials we use from 1 of 2 suppliers but have used others in the past and i have never seen those posts before, looks good that
  16. How do you fix the rails on? do you notch them out?
  17. Basically yeah, first and last post in, string line on floor, string line across top 1.8 apart, rails on, capping on, then i put boards on with level and board in 1 and and nail gun with other so they are all spot on. i prefer wood over concrete much easier to handle but i always think you can do more with wood than concrete.
  18. We occasionally do if we go 6' 6", i think it looks better without. We always leave 2-3" gap under to keep it off the damp ground. Is that something you do?
  19. another gate
  20. And more few gates i made on site.
  21. A few recent ones we have done.
  22. We put this up a few weeks ago, was 130 ish feet of fencing, previously 130 feet of crappy conifers . ground all the sumps out but couldn't get all of them out as they were growing under the concrete holding the kerb edging in place! we used a wide chisel on the breaker to cut them out then pipe spade to get em out. it worked really good as long as the chisel has a decent edge on it.
