  1. I would say sycamore aswell been standing dead or down a while
  2. Because on our work one they are made of cheese like metal they have rounded off on the corners and when done up tight are very hard to get off I was wondering how to replace them.
  3. Is it safe to use some old poles to make fishing swims around a lake I know its nasty stuff any affects on fish and wildlife there is about 10 acres of water?

If you have been claiming job seekers there is a scheme called new enterprise allowance NEA it involves going on a training coarse on starting a business once you have completed this you can apply for a low interest loan of upto 2500 pounds to use towards training and tools for a new business start up you also can keep claiming your benefit for up to 6 months whilst getting established. There are limited places available and the job centre prob won't of mentioned this to you so push them for it. If you aren't successful you can go back on benefit and not be penalised. There is also funding available from the princes trust but still only low interest loan which you will have to pay back there is a coarse they run that teaches you about being self employed and running a business, they can be contacted through there website.

  8. I have now got an old yard tractor with a loader and going to start storing and delivering in vented bags rarher than loose, what sizes do you find easier working with. going to be pulling them off the back of my pickup, how much are you charging for hardwood and mixed bags? Thanks matt

  12. I've had a look round the net but can't seem to find a website for Mueller axes I would like an original handle for it if possible as the 1 it came with lasted nearly 10 years of work
  13. Would it be possible to cut down old poles into usable timbers for a large shed. Is there a cheap mill out there that would do this. I've got an old 028 and a 440. They seem pretty clear of any metal and I can get them pretty cheap

Its for inside a Polly tunnel I did about 50 ton last year evenings weekends I'm not close to neighbors but still it takes the piss a bit I've got through 2 lidl saws in 6 months and they seem to blow the sawdust at your face which is very annoying. I've been suffering a bit with vibes with petrol saws. I thought electric saws would be better for this. I was thinking about getting a stihl but they seem a lot of money, what's are the makitas like do they come with any warrenty. Thanks
  16. Needs a new handle for my maul. I can't quite make the writing out but think its stamped mule with an acorn symbol next to it I got it from my local stihl dealer that has sadly long closed down
  17. What electric chainsaw do you recommend for logging I need it for using indoors and as to not upset the neighbors to much thanks.
  18. Hope the driver is OK they will easilly a afford a new one offered my friend five pounds a ton for chip plus he had to arrange for a farmer to load it

Plus how much would you charge for just hardwood oak ash beech Thanks matt
  20. That's a fair price you can't pay much for help, logging as there is very little margin
  21. ive only just replaced a set of BF Goodrich ATs on my hilux had them on there since i bought the truck they must of done 70k miles they still got 5or 6mm left but the rears had gone out of shape they are amazing tyres good grip braking have only got stuck going on stupidly boggy ground where even a tractor would of prob got stuck never had any punctures either.
