  2. thanks guys, im pretty chuffed with it:001_smile:, just need to get myself some heras fencing to throw the split stuff into and im ready for winter orders,
  3. get a big table on it for sitting on, i like sitting down:thumbup:
  4. looks like a little old woman to me.. nice shiny toy, mmm:thumbup1: (the log splitter not the old woman:blushing:)
  5. stick in some wash n wax and point it at your truck:thumbup:.. mine only fills with water when i wash it.
  6. get a slate lapper and sharpen the nail cutting bit, would make an ace tool for this..
  7. i love to see old motors still being used and abused, not a fan of the restore back to better than it came out of the factory look, at least it shouldn't blow a fuse now eh? does current still pass through the wiring? Ed.
  8. you guys worry too much, its a machine engine running on red for next to nowt, if anything the extra weight of the flywheel will help the engine rotate smoother? and the bearings will be replaced when they go and im not worrying about them, hourcounter? its still a low hour machine so maybe running this on low revs will help bed the engine in rather than the usual warmup and full revs routine? i have no plans for selling it anytime soon so will keep modding till it looks like it belongs on pimp my chipper:thumbup:
  9. :thumbup:big blowtorch, i'd use a old set of hedgetrimmers and either scaffold or mewp
  10. no it gets through even tough stuff at tickover, not too slow either, it does go a bit faster at higher rpm but im scared of losing bodyparts by rushing:blushing: as for price, if the woman sees this she will go spare.. £750-supply/build, £180-hydraulic components inc fitting:thumbup1:
  11. it will be getting attached to the chipper as soon as i get another tow hitch for the back of the chipper:thumbup:, tinnywolf haha, thinking of fitting some spotlights to it for the winter early blackout:thumbup:
  12. no sorry, camera has had a few days awol in the truck and its dark now:blushing:, think Andy has some pics of it working so he might put them up?
  13. oh it runs on the chipper hydraulics:thumbup: via quick release couplings:biggrin:
  14. fed up with breaking axes, got fellow arbtalker Andy (treequip)to build it to my spec:thumbup: and its brilliant, gave it a testrun on Andy's logpile and split 2cube in 25mins, thanks Andy:thumbup1: can't wait to beast through my log pile:thumbup:
  15. its free here, just fill in the right forms and send to the right office and they let the emergency services etc re-route as well as rescheduling to not have too many works in one area etc, as rupe says in emergency the police come in very handy:thumbup1:.. as do stoppy boards and landrovers, logs, groundies and brash:thumbup:, however imo temp traffic lights just encourage them to speed up:thumbdown:
  16. also check security of the two bolts holding each end of the roller in place, they can get loose..
  17. if it is then its deffo a south-yorkshire thing, there should be regulations against serving it to comers in..
  18. :011:gave me a headache just watching, madhead..
  19. beastly haha, if in cutting firewood i use ms460 with 16inch bar, mmm:thumbup1:
  20. some fair thought has gone into the design of that beast, useless at night (lights pointing at front wheels), useless in rain/wet roads (turn wheels slightly to get a face full of wheel wash), useless upsidedown (would remove top half of head), nice heated garage though?
  21. :thumbup:can we have one longer than 20ft this time?
  22. it took us 3days to work out what it was, day two i forgot my lunch and was the only guy to drink it as i needed energy.. maybe its a local brew? we were down in sheffield..
