1. Really glad we went. Had a great weekend (maybe a couple too many beers) and great to see some many people taking an interest in wood stuff. Amazing site too
2. Yes it is midland. I really like the south england binding too. looks really good and works well with bigger binders i find
3. Really nice work there chaps. Roll on the winter:001_smile: Here is a couple we did last season. The last pic was one of the first I laid years ago and got to relay this year. What style? Wheatley free
4. Been there Matt. Go backwards and you go down the bank. Go forwards and you go down the bank!! Managed to double roll our flail and it ended upside down. We brush cut that bit now:001_smile:
5. Cheers chaps We are heading up. See you there
6. Sorry the above post reads a bit negative, I am keen to go, looks a good weekend away if nothing else, but I might have to shell out on transporting kit (or risk taking landrover/trailer and dodging vosa:)
7. Anyone going or know much about this years show. I have been asked to come up with my alpine and trailer to show it. I am beginning to question it as the logistics of moving the kit are turning in to a bit of a mare. Is it worth the 2 hour drive? Much chance of getting any contacts from it? Cheers for any help Kav
8. Job last week. Lime split nearly to ground. In a school, bit of a shame to have to take it down but looking at the wind today at might have come down anyway. Thanks to Arbor Tree Specialists for the stuff in the tree and Face North Forestry for the tractor etc

Mainly oak and birch.
11. Sounds lovely! Yes that was the best site. The others had lots of stumps to catch and fire the brushcutter into the nearest tree:001_rolleyes:
12. Yeah we've done a good few hectares. Braken is now higher than my head and pulling tubes over! Tried to run the alpine through the rows first but just snagged and pulled them over. We've had heatwave, rain, horseflies, wasps and today flying ants!! good times:001_smile:
13. Birch does regrow in my experience. I second the eco plug idea
14.

Hi

I have a 35hp alpine and timber trailer/crane and skidding winch. Am based in Oxford but have workied in sussex before and am happy to travel. Probally best to email or call [email protected] 07703192775 thanks Kav

15. Yep agree about sheep-will get out anywhere if they dont choose to die on the way! A decent self closing metal kissing with mesh hoop should be pretty much stock proof (we have even made them rabbit proof in the past) but not much you can do if people wedge them open etc
16. Yeah the large mobility centrewire kissing gates have a radar lock for wheelchair access. I think its quicker to put in a metal kissing gate than set up a normal wooden one.
17. If you need instructions for centrewire stuff they are pretty helpful if you give them a buz. In my experience its def easier to use a self closing hinge set on wooden gate instead of spring. Wooden kissing gates are a right pain to set up, much rather use centrewire type metal.
18. Stupidly short notice but has anyone got any hedging materials cut. Need about 60 of each for sat!! Can collect. Thanks Kav 07703192775
19. Ah the holy grail. Thorn proof gloves you can use a saw with
