  2. If your offering that price you should be busy ?.
  3. I have a mint 2001 6inch 24/150 just had service and brand new bottom feed hydraulic motor new style old one started to leak last week. had new anvills. Been faultless for me for three years never abused always over cared for want £4500 or offers must say this has earned its money over and over reason for sale i fancy a schliesing and they are not cheap lol honda engine was checked by UEP and had very good compression very healthy engine. New bearings about three months ago from prochip new spline drive dident need bearings but 2-3 years thought it was better to have done anyway. Never seen a better small chipper with 6inch capacity and small enough for one man to move about fits everywhere and keeps up with the diesel no probs If your interested pm and view machine or come on a job and see in action will see itself:thumbup:
  4. Not had any joy with adwords
  5. A climber near me fell out of a tree very recently broke his back how much is a job really worth this is my bit. I dont ask the other prices i dont care i give the price i want to do the job and if i dont get it the job is not worth my time stress or risking my life for. We should all charge a bloody lot more then we do office workers can earn far more for sitting on there arse with the biggest risk being is there any biscuits left.
  6. tarmac tree services lol
  7. upgrade your security thats the only option,
  8. Always on the look out for a subbie climber or someone full time, if you have tickets helpfull but would train someone with at least some experience PM at anytime
  9. anything under 20hp is gonna be hard work and limit the size of stump you will want to undertake example 3ft and over you want 20-27hp imo
  10. Hearing about your situation has made me alot more careful when people are working close to the the stumpy, so i thank you for posting. Hearing things like this does impact peoples sometimes stubborn way of thinking and i believe your situation will make alot of people here think twice an be a bit more safer so thank you again. As with all keep positive its the only way through a tough time.
  11. Offer still open any one interested ?.
  12. :001_tt2:I have a 24hp 150 6 inch, love it better then the diesel 150 in so many ways only downside is 11hp less which only notices above 4 inches. Im told the bearings on my little 24hp should last alot longer then the diesel 150 as the diesel 150 will keep chipping on blunt blades whereas the 24hp will make it clear its time to change the blade and sharper blades work the bearings less. So bearing failure is alot to do with crews not looking after the company chipper putting crap through them including metal, remember most crews wont own up to it so the rep for crap bearings is more to do with lack of care. These may be tough machines but they dont like being abused. I know alot of schliesings which fell apart from being abused one was new when i got my 8 year old tw24/150 and its been heavily rebuilt twice now mines still not missed a beat ?. Bad TW no bad operators imo
  13. think cs30-31-38-39 should be the first step for 5 years then cs32-33-40-41 thats 10years training if your unsafe after then you always will be. And after you have All those courses refreshers should be 1-3 days current best practice every 5years after. This might actually work for a change?
  14. Im now in a position to take on a trainee climber or groundsmen please call work avail for sat let me know soon Regards Tel

  19. Your alright mate, i just like to know if i slip its not to the floor. I would just always recommend leaving a few pegs just in case. I find it gives me much more stability when cutting sections down.
  20. Ive seen guys fall to the ground i will always have pegs to catch me if i slip and to aid the lowering pulley. that guy should have double wrapped his line ?. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MJwQEkMKSUo[/ame] Imagine if he had a little peg to catch him, My advice is leave pegs every 5 ft alot safer imo.
