  1. One thing that makes the bricks crumble is burning un-seasoned wood . Mark
  2. From experience i would say that the grumpy one will know that the pup is a pup , ie very young and vunerable . I would be surprised if the older one attacked the pup , but would give him/her some nice warning barks and growels with plenty of teeth baring . We went through this when we got our now 8 yr old Doberman .Our other dog was 17 and very grumpy .The Dobe was jumping all over him , chewing his feet , tail , ears , nose etc .All he did was give her a loud bark in the ear that sent her running . She did wind him up for a good few weeks until he had had enough and gave her a real teeth baring and nasty growl that put her in her place .After this she was as good as gold and wouldnt leave his side .They became best buddies and she was devastated when he passed away a year later . We believe she lifted his spirits and we were lucky to get anothe year with him . I must say that i love the Patterdale terriers and very nearly got one as a friend for our Dobe a few years back .But Mrs Sniffy put a stop to it . Also try and see if you would be able to take your dog along to meet the pups on a 1-1 basis to see how yours gets on with them .That way you might find that Grumpy dog gets on with one better than another . If you do get one , i would love to see some pics Cheers Mark ( Tommer posted what i said in shorter terms as i was typing lol )
  3. I scoop up all my chippings ,let them dry out in the shed and then chuck them in the stove when we are going out .This keeps it ticking over without using up all those lovely logs Mark
  4. Jeez , from those pictures these thives dont seem to give a monkeys about being seen !! Some people just dont give a thought about being caught as they know the police are tied because the CPS will not let it go to court .Its deemed as a waste of money and resources . I know this because a member of my family is in the force and gets sooooo frustrated when they have caught a scrote red handed and the cps dont want it going to court !! Really hope the copper assigned takes it serious . Mark
  5. I cleared my garden of poochie poo today , got a fair amount in the bucket .Its now in the dog poo bin at the end of the garden .When you lifet the lid it stinks to high heaven .You are welcome to that if you want , smar it on the fence where they are getting over , and on some freshly split logs that they will be tempted with. Or dig a hole where they are climbing over and back fill it with dog crap , thn put some thin branches over the top ,so they fall in and stink more than they currently do . I know some rather heavy blokes who would sit in your yard for what you are gonna spend on security , word would get around after they caught the first thieves , never to enter your yard again Hope you get it sorted soon . Mark
