  1. Why not just transport on back of trailer, or you could always have the backend on a boogie set like the recovery firms use for moving 4x4's nd have the frontset(attached to towbar) braked
  2. Brillant video, a pleasure to watch to cracking beast at work, nowt better than watch twa horses working be it on the plough or now the log Thanks for posting
  3. Is this only for goods vehicles though? As i know of folk who have had to change plating on trailers due to being pulled over. And if your using van or 4x4 that isnt a dual purpose is it not max 80% of kerb weight allowed to be towed?
  4. road truck need to play with picture of toyt to get them to upload
  5. Nice set up, what sort of value you got in mind?
  6. Like the idea, but you will be able to overload your stretcehed motor, bearing in mind your 110 vin plate will be stamped with 3050 as your max kerb weight, whereas 130 are more. Do your friends not normaly reduce wheelbases for offroading?
  7. I take it your garage uses gold clutches lol heavy duty clutches are unde £100 even skimming flywheel doesnt cost that much
  8. lol like your thinking, get a workout every time you drive lol
  9. if you pop the inner stub axle seal(think its that yin) It allows oil through to lub the bearings as well
  10. Recieved email form igland winches themselves, the drum should turn anticockwise, when viewed for tractor. There my winch ahs been tweaked for front pto 8( Only way i can get chain to route is to shorten the chain so it only goes round pto input shaft, round the drum drive sprocket. Only problem is that am no leaving oot the tensioner Will try and see Thanks for the input Steve
  11. Had planned tae ring Jasp wilson, if didnt get defant answer oan here, as thas were i got my manual for the winch, will keep you posted
  12. If viewd from the rear, drum rotates anticlockwise, wondering if it has been tweaked for use on unimog? Ie different drive chain route
  13. Havent used it in anger yet, was respoiling after repairing tensioner when noticed the cable
  14. The gearing and run of the chain, can change the direction of the drum,
  15. good morning all, I have a Igland 6001 winch that I have got to extract timber with, can anyone tewll me what direction the winch drum should be turning when winching in? As i feel that the winch isnt spooling the cable in the richt direction. At the moment the cable comes down from the top pulley towards the drum then goes clockwise round it(over the top), I feel that it should go anticlockwise round the drum(ie straight down and round the bottom of the drum first). I could be wrong as I am only using my experances with winches on land rovers, can someone help regards Steve
