i use gloves like the ones on your post [kevlar ones] very good grip:thumbup1:

i must also agree with penfold in my previous post,about the oregon gloves,like i said,they are comfy,a good fit and cheap to buy,but they also go stiff when you dry them,i think most chainsaw gloves do. also when they get wet,they are well slippery:thumbdown:

fair point mate if they are anything to go by,i have a pair without the chainsaw protection. i dont think very much of them,they are not a very good fit,when i buy any gloves,its always size large,these are large and are too big, when i was subbing last winter,hedge laying,i was buying oregon chainsaw gloves,they were very comfy,an excellent fit and cheap on e-bay,you can also get a pair with protection in both hands the company i subbed for had these [timberland gloves with protection] in the back of the landy,no one wore them to be honest sam,dont waste your money martyn

thanks the wire from the coil to the starter switch is ok,ive taken out the coil and the wires and had a look,the other day the plug was sparking[i know the plug is ok] i would say the coil has broken down seen one on e-bay £20

depends on the customer! if next door buy some they have a very small woodburner,hence i give them all the smaller logs,could be anything from 60/70 logs others who take whatever they get,could be 50/55 £10 per barrel,mixed wood,oak,ash,beech,birch,plus a little softwood,all well seasoned-no complaints:thumbup1:

thanks slack. was you that prompted me to take a look,after posting your thread on one! the saw was a swine too start and would cut out:blushing: the coil must have been breaking down and has now gone completely

sorry cant answer the cost question:blushing: but as the silver birch goes,yes its a good burning wood:thumbup1: i burnt alot myself this december and sold a few barrels. only today logged up a fallen large birch,will pick up the wood tomorrow:thumbup1:
