  16. same here greg,got sick of the dead end jobs,and being stuck in a factory. in 2006 i booked a week off work to take my cs30/31,told my boss who was a great lady and very understanding,she knew i wanted to work outside
  17. you,ve been about a bit rob[romany blood:lol:] same here been a sole trader since 2008,should have done it years ago? my granfather had all the tools,chainsaws,hedgecutters,ride on mowers and i always used to help him,so you think i would have moved into tree work/landscaping years ago if i could turn back time:001_smile:
  18. crazy passion to climb trees? same here as a kid i was always the best climber,i would be the one to climb up to the crows nest[no ropes] then i go and pass cs38/39 at 39 years old:blushing: life dont make sense sometimes:001_rolleyes:
  19. nice bit of timber,hows the weather down there in pembs? we,ve had some bad snow in south wales,the rain is now starting to wash it away:thumbup1: i need to get over the local farm to get my haul,cut up a large fallen sycamore limb into rounds,been unable to collect due to weather,theres also a fallen silver birch[large]for the taking:thumbup:
  20. what would you be doing now or what have you done as previous employment before tree work? i know some of you have always been involved in tree work from leaving school. but what about other arbtalkers who came in at a later date,like myself. from leaving school,i was involved in the manufacture of furniture for many years as a leather cutter,bandknife operator like many other industries and manufacture the furniture has all gone from the uk:001_huh:
