  1. hi charl do you think the 543xp will be a new version of the old legend the 242xp [very hard to find now]
  2. agree with that company i was working for doing a bit of forestry,bought 5 brand new 261s and they did feel very cheap and poor build quality,must admit they did cut ok...:thumbup1:until the needle bearings kept going:thumbdown:[plastic case] think 346 is far better quality saw:thumbup: not a bias opinion i use both still and husky when i work with the council they only use stihl [everything] and i use their 260 and i think its a better quality built saw than the new 261
  3. done a tree for a local care home,took almost a month to pay:001_huh: give them a few calls asking for payment,the response was the normal speel,we pay contractors on a certain day of the month,blah,blah. well that day came and went,in the end phoned head office and said everyday that goes by i will be adding £10 interest,had the cheque next day

    glad you took the risk and it payed off,as i didnt! i myself like you am husky through and through[ground saws only ] i was in the market for one but was put off by the problems the saw was having,so i bought a 372xp[not that i regret it ] so maybe one at later a date

  7. took my son for his 1st pint! got him a stella,he didnt like it so i drunk it? got him a carlsberg,he didnt like that so i drunk it? same with guinness and cider,he didnt like them so i drunk them by the time we got down to the whiskeys,i could hardly push his pram!

  9. i was subbing for a local company back in feb/march of this year and felled thousands of diseased larch down cimla and bryn,we were just felling and leaving[not snedding]the contract for extraction was tendered out to other companies:blushing:

  11. they should have replaced or fixed ASAP very similar happened to me when i hired a chipper locally,it broke down,but was about 3 in the afternoon,i did manage to clear the job that paid for it and took it to another job:sneaky2: i had a quater of the hire fee back

  13. well worth a visit dean prices same as most arb shops give or take a few quid! as i stated in listing,they are moving to a bigger unit in the new year
  14. hi lyn,hows it going:thumbup: have you been to fpg [llantrisant] been there myself a few times,nice to be able to wander about and compare different items,harness,boots,trousers:thumbup1: blackwood chainsaws is local to myself but its only a counter,they have all you need but theres no looking about,powells[abergavenny]is the same,all the goods but nowhere to wander:001_rolleyes:
  15. been to forest park and gardens [llantrisant] south wales this morning to pick up a few bits they told me early next year they are moving to a unit in treforest[pontypridd] which is good news for me because its closer and will be a bigger unit:thumbup: plus easy access from m4 and a470 to customers all over south wales
  16. sam come and climb for me again mate i will give you a bit extra,instead of the £35 a day,i will give you £45 this time:001_tt2: what do you think.....
  17. ive used a few times,also with good service:thumbup: only last week ordered a few petzl 0s came the next day:thumbup:
