  5. I love this life, the Life of a treeworker. I remember a long time ago when my kit looked this basic, less infact, a multistand rop, a harness without leg loops, no helmet just earmuffs, not even a saw strop! them was simple times.
  6. in all that work there is only one maybe two cuts I would have avoided making. good job fella
  7. I like it, nice plain lines, which is part of its beauty.
  8. it isnt really an arb type thing is it, more the area of the surveyor/consutant
  9. itstrue, and i never said all younguns are rotten, our tom (aprentice) is a fine fine lad, and were proud to have him on the team. but were not talking about the gooduns, were talking about the rotten, and they are far more rotten than the generations prior. in fact I would say that if these kids where around in the post war era, they would have been kicked out of their homes and wider communities if not sent out to sweep minefields!
  10. I am rediscovering the joys of climbing Rich, I can fling about with my eyes shut, but now ive got new dimensions to play with, ive mastered the VT HC combo, old hat to me now!
  11. I have one ordered, ive done me research and I reckon I will fly through the canopy after a bit of practice, when Im up to speed I will get tome up with me to video! this is going to be cool, never ever thought I would do it, but after the HC VT combo upgrade i am very very curious as to how much gain we can make! got the work positioner on order too after using a mates, ART is epic

  17. what, the trees they burnt out on our common?
  18. psuedo plating, decline through dysfuntion of bark boring and the bleeds along with lack of fruiting bodies all indicate armillaria as the secondary pathogen, with the gano I suspect having been over run by the mellea. nice documentaion David, wouldnt mind seeing this site myself
  19. PM your adress sloth and I will get it orf ASAP:thumbup:
  20. Wild horses wont take me in that tide!
  21. I dont agree, the kids today have no respect whatsoever, especialy for the older members of society THEIR community. We had a bunch making a right raket out here last weekend, at 2 am I had to get out of bed to shout out the window for them to give it a F rest:lol: What one of em said from round the corner nearly had me putting some strides on for a more close up word I can tell you. they left the road full of glass and crap, one lass hitched her skirt and pissed on the pavement in a front garden. So no, faith in the young has to be deserved, not all are rotten, but the rotten are truly so. behaviour is a choice, so are manners. and no if there was a job going they wouldnt want it, I gre up with bums like it, I was one of two guys out of 12 on the gang who worked, the others STILL dont work.
