  1. The oar is also midline attacheable
  2. Won't be available for quite a while. My goal is 2014. This device is only for SRT. I cant honestly say its better than a hitch and rw. Just different. mechanical Which has inherent problems. I personally believe the hitch will always reign supreme in arbwork. This may be used by industrial workers possibly? Actually this came out of trying to design an rw specific tether and tender, an all in one package. I have been climbing on it since December. I will keep everyone posted on developments. I made this video more than a month ago, I couldn't keep it myself any longer.
  3. Pop a band-it, like are used on carabiners up there at the top and that will give it a little spring. Getting it to stay out of neutral really makes a nice tether.
  4. I actually find the pinto a bit wide. The ISC fixe, ct fixe or petzl fixe leave a but more room in the biner that I like.
  5. I have not been convinced that a zig zag is bad with an rw. If its ok with a Munter as it says in the instructions, why would it be bad with a rw?
  6. It said listing had ended where did you find it? Looked pretty nifty if I could get it in 12 oz.
  7. Who use 10 oz? Goodness I can't ever seem to get 10 oz back down. Iminkmum 12 Íz for me and I like 14oz.
  8. You got ripped off music that won't allow the video to be see stateside. Change your music
  9. that was a fun day. Kentucky puts on an excellent comp
  10. Not sure i agree with that. If your hand is not on the minter. The zig zag will take the load. Just like the wrench, your weight will transfer back and forth. But if you were to fall without your brake hand below the device, you will shock load the zig zag.
  11. I will get that changed immediately. This is a draft and not finished. consider this a brief comment period. Thanks.
  12. Yes this a new manual. Hasn't made it to the printers quite yet so there is room to modify. This was done by a professional manual writing agency. There is some things in there are written from a liability point of view. Homemade is opposed to professional. If you are a professional it doesn't apply to you. . I still do climb on my wooden wrench from time to time. The ISC is better though
  13. https://www.treestuff.com/store/images/pdf/ZK2Instructions.pdf
  14. It's getting too close to the idea of my bowline needing to be certified.
  15. I'm sorry, I need to clarify, the fact that there was a need to make a CE lanyard is troublesome to me. I have had it explained but I still dont get it. I like the pinto. I like the lanyard configured with a thimble... I don't understand the CE part of it. That's what I find weird. I have no problem with the CE lanyard itself. Although it still is two krabs, two short bits of rope and a nice micro pulley. Maybe I would need to live in Europe to understand it.
  16. The pinto pulley is a nice pulley, but I prefer a lanyard without a pulley at all and just a good self tending hitch threaded through the carabiner right. When it comes to lanyard to me minimalism is best. The thimble is nice. It allows you to choke srt but not cross load snap. I just use a small dynema loopie with no thimble.
  17. Hmm, It appears I already asked that same question on this very same thread. The CE lanyard still seems insulting to ones intelligence to sell a rope a krab and a hitch for that kind of money. I played with the rocker a bit and could not make it work as well as a hitch lanyard. Unlike my climbing system, self tending is a disadvantage in a lanyard.
  18. I still haven't figured how a CE lanyard is different from a lanyard. Can someone explain?
  19. Got to run it a little bit the other day with rw and it seemed quite smooth
  20. that looks real good guys! I cant wait to try the zig zag. 2000 replies to this thread. 200 pages. Cheers!
  21. Looks sweet, can't wit to try it. Looks like the tether could be about 6 inches shorter. We need to get ABR to make a zig zag specific tether.
  22. here is a little video of the job I did today. I broke out the original RW just to see how it was. It worked great with the stiff tether. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xr_V-Tdvceo]Belle Isle conservatory 2013 - YouTube[/ame]
  23. Try the ISC fixe. It has narrower side plates Also some of the larger biners or the hms biner allows a little more room. Looking good!
