  7. By 'their approved list' do you mean the contractors they use, or the ones the recommend?
  8. Hi, just reading your post about your rates, your joking, right? our contracting side charges £245 per man per day. Min of 2 man team. That seems the going rates around here?

  9. Stephen, who monitorss the conduct, efficiency and proficency of these bodies?
  10. Being AA approved, by NO means, makes a perfect business!!! I now a few that are run by baffoons!, Or even the man who bought a conpany and staff for the status? That firm is now staffed by utter morons, perfect biz?
  11. When you go to an AA 'meeting', its just a huge apprecitation society, they the top lads blow smoke up each others bums, and call each other like wee girls in the play ground. I do agree, however if you are on a course, you can gleen some info from the journals, but, just loan or buy the lonsdale books, its all ever needed.
  12. Prob because the company pay for it, and it WILL NOT be getting renewed. The point of this is to see how many people think the same!
  13. I am also a professional member. Pass a HNC, and they give them out, upon reciept of hard earned cash, it doesnt mean a great deal, except to big up your ego, especialy if your a consultant and collect letters after your name. I still dont see where the value is??
  14. Is the Arb Association actualy worth paying to join? what exactly do they do for their money? does it realy make a difference being a AA approved contractor?
  15. The plastic ones are total crap. The spring steel ones are the lads you need. Stephen, I like your thinking about the dismissal!!!
  16. we buy our 'spring bok' rakes from hunters, they seem to last us ok.
  17. Has anyone had eny experience with ear muff communication headsets?
  18. Im certain you have a bag on each end of the line, but cant remember the full SP! its years since I saw it done, the arbormasters trained boys do it.
  19. What prices are people paying for LOLER inspections? Having looked through some old posts, some are charging £40 and others upto £75??
  20. Who did the assessment?
  21. yeh, a dog **** one from china? remember that expression, you pay for what you get? if a decent sized saw (64 or similar) costs over 700, your gunna get a great chipper for that are'nt you??????????????????? erm that would be a no!
  22. Well, as it happens, we do!
  23. well, im not going to say that am I:001_smile:
  24. I can't understand why people buy stuff like this, it realy is false economy, after it has shook itself to bits, and then gets dumped in the back of the shed, you might of well spent the money on a used T/W or Greenmech
  25. just looks like a 5-6". But I would rather buy a used known brand than that!
