  6. Really? It says the caps of the deceiver are rarely larger than 1.5cm.....these were around 3:confused1: It deffo isnt what i thought they were then?
  7. Hygrocybe (me thinks) The only 2 i can see with a tapering stem are 'splendidissima' and 'intermedia' which i have listed as rare. Found beneath a lime tree although i'm not sure whether this is relevant or not.
  8. i took 2 transit loads out of a big lime today.......
  9. Worked in richmond park for 4 years and have to say that it was a common occourance. There are some very nice and considerate dog owners but there were also some complete imbeciles! Couldnt control there dogs and left their plastic bags full of crap hanging from branches or discarded in the bracken. And as for the proffessional (and i use the term very loosely) dog walkers, dont get me started.

They're corkers mate.......cant wait to show you around some of the places i have been stumbling across down here.......stunning old ash trees seem to be everywhere.....especially old hedgerow ash. Will take you to the site in this thread.....you'll love it. We'll get crimbo out of the way and then meet up.......theres a bed here for you so we can make a weekend of it.
  12. Have been working at a great site this past week......carried out safety works within the grounds of a country manor house. Also been doing some woodland work with some very fine old ash which i have yet to photograph. For now...a magnificent field maple which wasnt on the original works schedule but i ended up reducing the height and end weight of limbs.....dodgy climb but worth the effoert to hopefully keeping this fine tree going for a while longer. A super old pollarded lime. And lastly this old pollard (not for a long long time Beech.) It has lost one big limb and the owner will be contacted with a view to getting him to agree to have some reduction work done in the future.

I'm a little bit sceptical with the request for a voluntary $5 contribution to make the film but i love the idea and the web site has some great storys and is a celebration of the worlds trees. TreeStory-A Feature Documentary.
