A fantastic veteran oak deep in the woods.....getting very top heavy and could really do with Haloing imo to encourage some lower growth as it is getting very top heavy. A fantastic old Small leave lime coppice stool which is now essentially now a small group of trees. Giant puffball Leitiporous on Yew Huge ancient Sweet chestnut stool which somebody is taking time out to create a little piece of art work with. 10. ha ha:lol:
  11. Yes i know that.....but would have hispidus been specifically recorded in this case because of its rarity on oak for example.....or should i ring kew and tell them i saw it on a crab apple yesterday....oh i also saw ganoderma on a beech....shall i tell them that too.?
  12. From the ground it looks exactly like hispidus....will climb to verify..... David....why would this sighting in Pembrokeshire be recorded at kew?
  13. Saw an Inonotus bracket on a main limb of a Turkey Oak today. Never seen it on oak before......how common is it.....how well does oak deal with it.....will post piccies later...
