  6. either way i was asked to fell it then go no clearing up what so ever bonus of working for farmers they just go in with there telehander and stick it on a bonfire
  7. just cause i wanted to make sure it was on some solidish timber and i wanted it on the back limb, then through the front folk and to tractor. by time you have done that from the ground it took me 14mins to climb up and set it all up climbing it
  8. had this easy job for this afternoons job, would have made a great tree to leave for habitat, but council gave the owner 2weeks notice to have it felled. had loads of massive brackets all round the base of the tree. had the tractor on it because it was weighted backwards onto the road and neighbours house aswell as powerlines. always good to make sure. job was to fell it in the field and leave was interesting to see where the hinge is the whole stump split in half all way from the cut into the ground. 19. i used to be like that but now a days its more like ahhh gotta get up that big thing, but i do still love doing them i guess..... if you can get a crane to it
  20. mark i was well up for stuntfelling the whole tree but not my job so i dont get choice, i can but just moan and moan all through the job saying if only we had felled it graham was a deceiving tree let alone the pics looked at it as 2nd opinion when gareth quoted for it originally and looked easy, i told him 2 days get it on floor and allow a day after to clear up etc so far its looking spot on, alot more to the tree than everyone expected, aswell as being over 3 gardens, shed etc etc
  21. ash dismantle for gareth smith off here, day 1 got most of the crown off, back tomorow to do the rest. video to follow the pics when i can be bothered to look at the footage. pic 1 before we started pics 2&3 are at lunch time last pic is how we left it at 4,30
  22. exactly my problem i have tons of woodchip up my yard, but because i have no way of loading other than a shovel. hireing in a jcb etc wouldnt make it worth selling
  23. not a bad place, ive worked there before when i was employed by company with the diocese contract round there. less said about them the better.
