  1. Cheers for that:thumbup1: kinda makes sense now! i'm hungry after seeing that cheesburger though!
  2. What a great start to a hopefully great career, its the way we should all be taught. i know a lot of people come into arb of a maturish age but there are still a lot of youngsters coming into the industry who do both college and tickets but don't get the benefit of working at the same time, i feel things need to change to this fine example of learning a trade tod notch D:thumbup:
  3. When people buy a new harness do they take weight limits into play? for example i've just been watching a video on the treemotion and it says there is a 220lb weight limit which is only just under 16 stone? Are there many heavy climbers out there? i'm only 14st myself but it does make you think:001_huh:
  4. i'll be spending that money you owe me rob:lol:

Don't forget we lose an hours sleep tonight:thumbdown: but on the up-hand, we gain more light of a night time:thumbup: think of all the extra foreigners we can do:lol:
  6. that ash is a biggie, the scale's great in pic three of the ash post:thumbup:
  7. is that an old army truck?
  8. Is that a bad thing? what i mean is, surely the tree industry is saturated at present and only getting worse. There are a lot of people out there who are very very good at their job, on boths sides ie hama/mr tree vs stephen blair/skyhuck and the like (only mentioning a few) but there are also i bet a lot of people who really shouldn't be doing this at all if the strongest survive as in darwins theory (is that right:blushing:) then surely that can only be a good thing from both a cutters and ecologists perspective preventative tree care is the way forward:thumbup:

  12. bit of lambasting never hurt anybody:gasthrower: whatever doesn't kill me makes me stronger:bootyshake:
  13. they don't pay for the work unless you call paying council tax paying? and yes i give them options and reasons or them to decide what they want just trying to do my bit in the bigger picture if i get lambasted for that then so be it:thumbup:
  14. nice work:thumbup: why did it need reducing?
  15. recording noises from a 500 year old oak:thumbup:
  16. I try to knock 10-15% off what the TO has requested (they are ridiculous amounts anyway, light under 33% - medium 34-49% and heavy 50%+) and if i get called back then i get called back but at least i tried! I always try to have a chat with the client and ask why they have a problem with the tree and try to make them see the benefits In the area i work in (lets just say it isn't really affluent) i have a 5-10% success rate:thumbdown: on changing peoples minds its going to be a long hard slog:thumbup: especially with the philistines i work with:lol:
  17. think its a LA thing, we hardly ever get made a brew these days, occasionally the odd person asks if we're OK for drinks and do we want a cup, but very occasionally!
