  2. I've done a few big planes this year and a few small ones:thumbdown: What i can say is at the start of summer (June/July) the small plane i pruned was horrendous!! and the big one not so bad. One of my colleagues who smokes 20-40 a day, had no problems and found it quite amusing that we were all choking our guts up!? I pruned two Big ones last week, one on a wet day and one on a dry and i had no problems what so ever, and i normally have a bad reaction to them, so i think the worst is over:001_cool:

  19. The cultivar is probably a chimaera then, meaning it can grow "normal" leaves from the trunk and branches or reverting itself back to the dominant species, usually not all of the tree though as sounds in your case usually happens when damaged in some way (even slight damage or stress)
  20. Its a cultivar of F. sylvatica possibly 'Grandidentata' or 'Rohan Gold' It could also be F. sylvatica 'Asplenifoilia' (cut-leaved/fern-leaved beech) but the first two seem more likely by leaf form
  21. I need em green really, so unless there pressed, they'll senesce won't they?
  22. Well its the hardest one to get IMO, from my location, but if Ed comes through, i'm in business
