  4. i'm pretty sure it was meripilus but when it fell it had all died back it was in a summer rain storm when it fell, it was a very large limb, and it had at some point had a cavity around the graft. the fracture was likely nothing to do with the fungus but i wonder if it may have accelerated other problems the tree had. BTW. the stone under it seemed to tell its age
  5. some pictures of what was a lovely old copper beach, it had a giant polypore all round its base on a previous inspection but the owner wouldn't have it removed (unfortunately didn't take any pictures of the polypore)
  6. XTC or New England for me but i prefer the new england its much softer to use and the Hi- Vee has the safety blue inside which shows up realy good when the stupid groundsman cuts it for you(even though its bright bl***y orange)
  7. im sure that richard on the telly told me that the queens look for a new place to set up a hive at this time of year and that at the end of summer their hive turns on them and they are killed by the new queens which disperse, hibernate then start the whole thing over again.

  10. Answer Bees help pollinate around 70% of all the crops on the planet. If all the bees die and nothing rises to replace them (another type of insect, for example, or serious human intervention), many plants will simply die-off due to lack of pollination. If 70% of the plants on the planet die, it will be bad for everyone. we will Have a maximum of 4 years to live.all of our trres will die after a year. after 4 years we will starv if we dont find a solution for this problem Total Pest Solutions Ltd i looked it up for you and it was as i thought

  18. you could use a long split tail 4 or 5 meter or maybe you could buy a short rope like a 10 meter, it would be less cost than a whole rope, but two ropes will still be better

    bats in trees

did you know that certain species of bat carry higher protection and their habitat is protected (not just the roost) so working on a tree with no bat potential in their vecinity could still be breaking the law because the bats could use it for forageing or as a flight line(linear feature) and you would be altering it.
