  3. HI I have the same problems I am a full time long term carea for a very disabled relitive at home. I am wanting to retrain in and get my NPTC s for better life chances later on when this role ends . I have sturggled to get any form of help from the Gov or anyware else . its really hard as have to manage on a pittance each week so you go running around in circuls trying to sorce money for training . The Gov up to the last year or so funded these short courses if you were on other bens but now they have stoped . There is only a couple of collages in the country that will still will pay for the tuition fee if you are on housing or income support but you will be on the weighting list at the collage for a couple of years as they only run a couple of course a year with a max of 4 people . The job center was no help as again its only if you are on JSA that you can get it paid for its very furstrating . Eastwater

  6. Hi Drivelink I have Mild learning difficulties myself this was picked up at a young age .It that affects me in different ways .some of the ways it affects me is in my understanding of whats being asked of me and being able to retain that information . It can take longer to be able to perform the actions being asked and it can be difficult for me to put accross what I am thinking or trying to explain to the instructor in a short space of time in conversation . It also affects me with reading linked up writing of any kind . I have just compleated my CS30 /CS31 training I have got to do my assesments later when I am ready and have mastered all the info in the work books . My Insturctor was very very good and did his best to address the problems which I told him about early on in the course . . The biggist help to me from my trainer was his patiance and aproach as he needed to explain things several times and sometimes in different ways to put what he wanted accross to me, for me to understand . The workbooks given out to me are excellent as they are very discriptive and have little pictures by the tasks wanted so have found them very valuable tool . Thanks eastwater

  9. Only use them for the Gym but would not pay more then 20 quid a pair . I think they are a rip off at 60 upwards for the brand names . I dont mind paying good money for a pair of boots shoes that will last ,thats money well spent but designer shoes with a price tag that are not built to last no way . Eastwater:001_smile:
  10. Hi Guys many thanks for advice its been helpfull Eastwater
  11. Hi all its been some days on since cutting my first lump of wood and I am slowing getting a little more condifent with it . I a question re cutting this may sound really silly but still only a few days old into using a chainsaw . At the moment I am cutting up loads of flat MDF board from work tops to cuboards old draws ect . I want to cut small squars out of it for a small wood burner I am finding it diffiuclt to stablise the smaller flat bits of wood . One bit of flat board under the bit I am trying to slice seems to work ok but the saw has a tendancy to draw the wood back too far into the saw making it quite difficult . any tips would be helpfull ?. Many thanks Eastwater:001_smile:

  14. thanks for replys i dont have an airline but will dust it down and check air filter . Have checked blades and they are still nice and sharp. Will check that each day and sharpen when needed . I am having trouble understanding all the stuff about the chain. depth pitch and all this other stuff to do with chain. If anyone can go through it in really simple terms that would be good. I have to understand it for CS30 . Thanks eastwater
  15. Hi guys today was crunch day for my new saw. Today my new saw had to be put to work . I kitted up in my PPE and batterend down the hatchs . I looked at the mountain of wood to be sliced up in front of me . For my first cut I selected a small branch as not sure what the saw was going to feel like as it ate its way through or how much presure you should apply . so decided on gently does it . brought saw down gently and it sliced it up like butter . The day progressed and I continued on the small bits and all went well . later I had had a go at some slightly thicker bits therse were ok but the saw felt different as it ate its way through the thicker lumps . throughout the day I checkd the chain oil and fule I had to top up a couple of times as it was quite thursty on fule now at home the saw and manual is on the table to clean it up after its days work. Any tips on after care would be great ? Thanks Eastwater
