your right when i did my course i was told that if you use a ladder, make shure before you leave the ladder your rope is tied in, not tied in from the bottom that would defet the object

i dont really wash my ropes but when i got a new rope i use a pillow case put the rope in that tie a not in the top put it in the washing machine dont spin like others said on a warm wash and let it dry, jobs a gooden

conway i would put them books down and not read them, and just read the cs 30/31 and rear it as many times as you can, the cs 38/39 are a doddle once compared to the 30/31. dont be filling your head with knots etc when all you need to now atm is maintaince and tree felling, i no its not the real fun bitbut it has to be done.once you have PASSED your 30/31 then pick the books up and the 38 and 39 nptc schedule. -

the course's that you are going to be doing. so if your taking your cs 30/31, go on nptc's site and print them of, thats what i did when i did all my courses, i did cs 30 31 38 &39 over 1 month, theres alot of info to take in so get on the books asap mate -

hi just read through all of what has bein said. the best thing you can do conway is to get the nptc schedule of the internet and just revise it all,dont start watching videos etc then you will get bad habbits, good luck -
i wish it was like that down here mate, if i cant work i dont get paid and the work just starts to back up! that is not good! snow is lovely to look at but i hate it in every way possible!!

so if i am up the tree, but have a company come and set and run the lights do i need the city and guilds? it is a a road and would need to be both ways, is that set up from 9-3.30 or they arive at 9 and set up by 10? thanks

well i no no1 who has a city in guilds in traffic lights lol, i dont no have not asked insurance, that haddent even come into mind what sort of money would i be looking at to get a company in to set up and run them for me a day? thanks

sounds like you have it all there mate, just sit down for a few hours and now draw a contract up let us now how you get on with it -
have been asked to take a tree down right next to a road, some branches over hanging the road, the road is a main road with cars and lorries doing about 50-60mph, so i really dont fancy getting up there with out some how slowing or stopping the traffic, how would i go about doing this or getting a company in?? will i have to tell the council?? never done work next to a road like this ?? many thanks shane

then i supose you could put somthing in the contract stating anything over so many trees at 1 time will be charged as extra, and then say how much that extra would be roughly...., hope that sort of makes sence. -

i would go around it the same as any other job mate, work out your expenditure and what you want an hour then put it together for the final price/hourly price, allways better to try and give a set price for a contract i think, then you dont have people watching you all the time, for that odd phone call you have to take, or that quick drink at the truck, then you wont get some fart saying well you did have a 5min phone call!! good luck -
