  2. Thats not what WE heard:sneaky2:
  3. Right thats it. If you're just going to come on here and gloat, then from now on- YOU AINT GOT NO SOUTHERN FRIENDS. :001_tongue::001_tongue: we love ya really.
  4. Its a fair point nicely put. I stand corrected.
  5. Yeeeaaarrrrgghhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Finally. Shame they mounted it the wrong way roun though eh stevie!:001_tongue:
  6. Crap they may be- it doesnt alter the fact that you have got four in your shed:001_tongue:
  7. Thats just where you're wrong.....I had it on my harness only last tuesday doing a crown lift on a massive 20ft myrtle:001_tongue:
  8. Thats as may be Steve, but as pre production, post production, limited editions were often produced incognito, and the original placing of the serial number was subject to heavy wear, that cannot always be relied on when establishing fiscal policy. The plot thickens. You are correct though of course- it doesn't necessarily follow that twice the number would double the price.
  9. I have just been reading this thread with interest. I am with Matt on this one- take any work ant time anywhere. 'When the needs must, the devil drives' as they say, and as many of you know i have about 40 hoofed devils to feed down here:sneaky2:. Dean- welcome to the painkiller club. I live on a diet of painkillers washed down with anti-indigestion drugs to combat the damage the painkillers have done:thumbdown:. Happy days.
  10. Long live the king!! Top stuff,
  11. Here's to hoping its a clear night then!
  12. Such a shame, such a shame.
  13. I am based in cornwall about 10 miles from St.Ives and if you pm me i will send you details of a really good training body down here who would be able to fit you in i'm sure.
  14. That is truly a shame, i have just booked a first class ticket up there to see it. They are so rare nowadays, even having been on the endangered list for such a long time, that i had to see it before it went. Guess ill have to get a refund. BTW steve- were there any salvageable parts from what you could see?
  15. Wow! You are so lucky. Shame to hear about the poor condition its in. Was Dicko's assessment correct? Is it a fake?????
  16. Yeah but unless i am mistaken David hasnt seen this particular example from up close, and that would have a large bearing on his decision surely. Obviously i recognise his overall orangeness and skill in all things antique though, so will defer to his opinion.
  17. The idea of putting it back into production was mooted at the last AGM, but unfortunately one of the main investors also put alot of their money in the stock exchange so the idea has been shelved. I did hear that a small company of less than 1 man is tinkering away in a shed in deepest devon to try and build a modern hybrid. Who knows- there must be a market for these things in the right marketplace....

    VT's?

    About time mate:001_tongue:
  19. I reckon you're on to something mate! Can you imagine the cost of insurance on a consignment like that though? Unless you could persuade pigeon post to handle it..
  20. Good man- you look justifiably 'well chuffed'.Beautiful piece of timber.
  21. Yeah its basically the bottom line, but I understand that in reality the powers that be frown on any sort of woodland dwelling, and it is unfortunately pretty difficult to persuade them that you have strong reasons to stay and not commute. Ben Law had been living in Prickly Nut Wood coppicing, charcoaling and making furnitue in rudimenatry conditions for years and fighting the planners pretty much all the time, hence conditions such as not allowing the house to remain after he is gone.
  22. Ouch! Nice day for it mate- rained here all day, so got in a tractor and moved oak round the yard for an hour. Yawn. Would rather have been up a tree. Tidy work.
