  1. Cheers Liam. That chipper was unreal. You could feel the wood being chippe through the ground vibes!! I think it was a Jenz if my memory serves me right. When they engage the pto at the start, you can hear that 300hp 6cyl fendt nearly stall, and again later when he puts a bit too much through. Phenomenal machinery. The pic of the scots pine is there coz the dark bit looked like another tree growing up in the canopy, really odd looking.
  2. Great stuff Andy. We wait with baited breath the outcome.
  3. And a video hopefully.... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7MVogyaAFYE]YouTube - Big fuelwood chipper[/ame]
  4. Just a few more pics from the confor event yesterday...
  5. Good news mate, now get to work in those woods:sneaky2:
  6. I have found that for dragging dead weight like timber electric winches are not really up to it, I burnt out loads of solenoids and ten te motor on an x9 superwinch. Hydraulic would be the preferred option for me, with mounting brackets at each end and hydraulic services available at each end for it.
  7. A couple more of the pereniporia fraxina, now that the tree is down. Somehow managed to not take a pic of the stump, as the effects of the fungi was clear to see. A trip back soon is on the cards- job only 1 mile away at the neighbour's house. There were signs of the decay 1/3 way into the trunk where the largest part of the FB was, the first two pics, on a approx20" dia trunk, and where the FB was only the size of a fist it was about 2" into the trunk. In the worst area the wood was spongy and honeycomb like that i could dig the nylon wedge in easily. The unaffected wood was excelent though, even though the tree has been dead for 12 months at least. The roots that i could get to were pretty shot, and the heart of the stump had a small hole in the centre that led to a wet cavern judging from poking a twig down it. Immediately above the FB's the bark looked fine, as you can see in the pics, that wasnt the case where the FBs were.
  8. That is sick. Really sick. Tossers.
  9. Haha. I put a shed up for the mod years ago- six months of security checks before we could go on site. When we got there the place was deserted!?!

  16. I have a left-handed hammer and a cork screw spanner that are surplus to requirements. I could chuck 'em in the bucket with the welding sparks and send the lot:sneaky2:
  17. Thought this might help too:confused1: (The Simpsons make their entrance at the company picnic.) Smithers: Here you go, sir. (hands Mr. Burns a card with all the Simpsons' information and Mr. Burns reviews the information) Mr. Burns: Ah! Oh, yes. Oh, and this must be your lovely wife... (looks at card) Marge. Oh, and look at, uh... (looks at card again) Little Lisa. Why, she's growing like a weed. And this must be, uh... (looks at card again) Brat. Bart: Bart. Homer: Don't correct the man, Brat.
