  1. Had you thought about potting them up and selling them on? I would have some if you were closer.. BTW nice touch on the pops...
  2. I heard that too- some of the things they come out with are a little strange sometimes eh? Their ideas for stump tratment involve a digger or diesel a few weeks back!!!!
  3. Quite agree mate, and am NOT putting ANYONE down for guns, just not my bag......like you say, a tool......in the right hands useful(ish) and in the wrong hands, gangster:thumbdown:
  4. Kielder water is awesome isnt it. 28(?) square mile reservoir, made to supply the industrial north and midlands with water............but as we have no industry it is now a beautiful puddle. Went there as a youngster, loved northumberland.
  5. I dont really want one.......i think that i have seen enough guns in my time in coventry:thumbdown: to make me wish they were all at the bottom of the sea.
  6. Yes , a firm grip is necessary, and make sure you use the bottom of the blade as it were, as if it catches the top and spins away it can be lethal- kick back stylee. I think the ones with circular saw teeth as opposed to chainsaw teeth is less prone to this. The one you have in your thread is more aggressive hence removes wood faster i think. I am no expert though....
  7. Could be....i still think it was firewood grazers..
  8. Those were really cool pics. Just had another look with my son. Ghostly stuff. I like the way that someone has had a go at cutting some off- two shallow cuts in pic 12. Maybe the saw went blunt.......
  9. I have run a wire from the battery of the landrover to a socket at the back, which plugs into the ifor battery. Tip as many times as i want.
  10. I wnt one of those.....is it a bren gun, Lock Stock stylee??
  11. Thats awesome mate. Is that from fast coastal erosion?
  12. Found this earlier....thought i might share in case anyone was after one. Good tool boxes, worth a look.vw transporter 2005 1.9 tdi 48k ideal gardener on eBay (end time 28-Sep-09 19:00:10 BST)
  13. Last week covered about 260 miles. Usually change oil every 6-8 weeks, at 3000 mile intervals, solast week was a good week mileage -wise. 2 years ago i did 36500 miles!!!
  14. Are they THAT quick???? Wow, that sounds amazing. There are a couple of breeding pairs up the coast from me, but i have only seen one bird myself, and never in the dive. Must be incredible.
  15. Hah- thats a kind offer, but you ought to check the dates of the thread mate:sneaky2:
  16. Check out this vid- esp at around 3.55 when it takes the duck...[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZ9xwKx4EcU&feature=related]YouTube - Duck Hawking with a Gyr/Peregrine[/ame]
  17. TBH with the current state of things in this sht hole of a country i am not surprised. The 'one rule for us and one rule for them' culture extends through every level of our corrupt and broken society.
  18. Just watched it again, and i have to add that it really is a joy to watch those large pieces coming down with no fuss and soooo smoothly..........especially for someone like me for whom rigging is not a forte....
  19. Grants shmants. Match funding always the problem.
