  2. nice work im gunna make a bench in the not to distant future, got it all worked out how to make it, and where to put it, got a lovely patch of ground by the river with a nice stoney beech
  3. great pics and nice bit of timber, what ya gunna use it for? I really gotta have another go at milling soon, need to buy a new bar for my dolmar tho, anyone got a 36" .404 bar, they wanna get rid of cheap?

  5. yeah i saw that, doesnt look too bad seen worse, crane looks to be in good condition, but you wont get much grip with those tyres like the look of this 30ft farm/ forestry timber trailer with hiab crane on eBay (end time 04-Oct-09 09:38:02 BST)

  10. Yesturday saw what is said to be Canadas Oldest Sugar Maple tree, and my is it impressive Sorry the pictures ent that good, we couldnt stay there long had a lot to see and do in one day.
  11. very nice tractor i do love massys, we have two little ones for the splitters and saw benches and a nice big 1200, but the pto pump is broke at the moment cant wait for my cousin to get it running
  12. yeah i am very proud wen i get back from canada im gunna scan lots of pics of him timber falling back in the good old days and whack them on here, i find it amazing seeing him use the big old dolmars
  13. 2 years, started in last year of high school helping my granddad out, then started studying it at college and working with him and my cousin. my granddads been in the timber trade since he left school, hes now 72 and still work 6 days a week...
  14. gunna show the the pics of them to my granddad and see if it reminds him of the good old days of owning a county, maybe it will convince him to buy another one

  16. just watched the video again, amazing work! cant wat till i start climbing next year btw i was in vancouver 2 weeks ago, amazing trees there nice to see somthing differnt trees to the ones back home
  17. thanks for all the great feedback guys o really? i think its a great trailer, prefers ours to the college ones, what do you think of it? do you use a pump on the pto or the tractors hydraulics?

  19. i'll tell ya the truth, most of the time at college we learn **** all, it is such a doss (well the first year was, i'll see what the second years like in september), i do the work and get the nptc units, i learn more, well more usefull stuff when im working with my cousin and my granddad
  20. flying to vancouver staying there for a few days maybe a week, getting a train somthing like 3500KM to thunder bay which is basicly in the middle of canada i thinks, to see family that i've never met before, then going somewhere else to see another family, towards niagara falls area, somthing like that anyway i ent to sure
  21. ah right haha, im crap at tree ident so dont get me started on plant ident hahaha
