  5. its the way my granddad has taught me and as with the old saws it says to mix at 25:1, he thinks that there isnt enough oil in a 50:1 mix, and hes never had a saw seize up on him

  9. my granddad has always done timber, we have static bandsaw in our yard, but its old and we decided that we should have some new kit, the static one will still be used, just not as often as it used to be, there is a lot of demand for sawing round by us, a lot of old black and white houses that get restored and barn conversions, we have got 2 jobs since we bought this cutting oak for barn conversions, which will be done in the not to distant future
  10. i have a shed full of old sachs dolmar saws from when my cousin was felling all day every day, mainly 153 parts but i could take a look if you say what part you want

  23. thanks for the comments guys! it cost us £4000, which we thought was great, we know it has done hardly any work because the main work it did with its previous owner was cutting up trees that my granddad fell, enough for a house, then its done some other little bits but not much. It came with the main mill, and all the custom bits: - bed extentions so you cant cut a 20ft log - ramps and hand winch to roll logs up - axle and tow bar components, that lock onto the main mill section turning it into a trailer
  24. Thats the plan! Came with 20 of the actual band saws aswell
