  8. that is soo sweet!!! Vickers Vigor - 6 cylinder, supercharged, inline Rolls-Royce disel engine, about 160hp i think, you can hear this from like a mile or so away, cant imagine what thats like hahaa Big Machines Rock!

  14. This twin stemed oak had to be removed as it was leaning right over the road and the farm on the other side of the road. Granddad is having the firewood, he hired some friends of his, with their fancy kit to help was an incredible job to help with

  17. well we either have stuff split into lengths for drying, then cut it into blocks when a order comes through, but to be honest most of our stuff is still in lengths in the yard and we just cut it when an order comes through, we sell our firewood cheaper than most people because its isnt the highest quality firewood around, but we never have any compliants its interesting seeing how everyone approches the firewood business
  18. well most of my granddads customers he has had for years so he knows what size they want, so when they order a load, we just cut that length

  21. yeahh its been nice here for ages!!! started raining these past couple of days though, but its all good cus we have had some hard core put down in our yard so its nice and dry to work in hahaa yeah the light board, most of the lights work on it to ooo nice, would be great if you could get some pics of it
  22. Two days a week (Mon and Tues) i work with my cousin for college work experience, we were winching out some trees, mainly ash, from a wood on the side of a hill and clearing up some windblown birch trees.

Heres a job we did a few weeks ago, there was a small area of Western Red Cedar clearfelled with a harvester on a farm for wood fuel, all broadleaves were left for us, mostly alder its by a river, and we had to burn all the brash, its going to be replanted with native broadleaves i think, there was also 2 big ash trees at the edge of the clearfell that we pollarded.
