  1. That looks.... erm...... muddy!! Is it for public access??
  2. Looking for tree work in Spain, Malaga area, have own kit, tickets etc and would like some work to take me over to tie in with family. Any jobs considered. [email protected]
  3. John, that's a tough one... I do feel for you. Growing up after my parents split up, after my father strayed, and going into my teens.. my old chap only ever saw us at weekends and occasionaly over school hollidays... let me tell you it's not great for the kids either. I'm just getting my head around becoming a dad in a few months time... sound advice.
  4. As there are Heras pannels behind the tree, is it possible the cameras are there as a temporary measure?? Looks pretty crap to be fair, if they are to be there permanently you would have thought they could have installed a pole or something.
  5. Think you might be right stevie!!
  6. I thought it looked pretty smart.... the trunk, or whats left of it is about 7ft tall if that gives you some idea of scale
  7. Found this today... Gunna leave it cause I think it looks cool and it's in the middle of nowhere. Any idea what could have caused this?? It's obviousley a twin leader, but I was wondering if it could have been caused by lightening?? It must have failed some time in the past two weeks, but I dont think we've had any thunder storms.. Only other explanation is it must have split down the leader and collapsed.
  8. I swear the internet will be the downfall of man.... Spelling mistake on my part, meant to read 'mind' not ming....
  9. lol - I'll bear that in ming Mesterh
  10. I should be speaking to him over the weekend... i'll hold you to that!!
  11. (holding hands up) You got me there Skyhuck... fair cop. I have never and would never try to say I'm perfect, but as far as having climbers in adjacent trees goes H & S wise.... I don't see a problem with it. AND..... i've see alot worse and know of alot worse going on all over the place. We had a H & S inspection a few months ago on the railway job I was on.... climbers were in adjacent trees then too and nothing was said?!
  12. brother in law is in the highlanders..... the boys put up with some serious crap, nice post dean
  13. Never used one... seems to work well for Martin though. The harness dosent look comfy enough for me, love my treemotion too much!
  14. Most of my work is commercial rather than for private clients, but if it was the other way round I would probably go down the road of having company t-shirts rather than high-viz because i'd be able to get away with it easier. There's not really any gypos going about here.... not on the commercial side anyway, theres a few dodgy private companies about, one in particular who's an absolute arse. The only other gypos about would be me! lol
  15. Just checked that link.....yep, looks exactly the same.
  16. I have no idea.... I'll ask him next time I speak to him, I thought is was a comet, but maybe i'm wrong.
  17. Nah, he's got a pair of saw trousers with vents in the back of them! Pretty good idea I think.
  18. if you're talking about the saw, it's a 200T
  19. Was good fun... hard day though, was pretty warm and full on all day. All my kit is caked in sap now.. did another roadside job today on a scots pine today, couldnt move the prussik on my flip line to save my life! The noble is worse than bloody sitka!
  20. I like it when the bacon melts the butter into the bread... and yeah, deffinatley tommy sauce!!
  21. Ahhh!! Bacon Butties first thing in the morning before a climb.. life dosen't get any better!
  22. Most professionals wear high-viz on-site. It sets a standard and allows everyone to see each other clearly, up a tree, on the ground, wherever you are, if you are on one of my sites, you are wearing high-viz for all chainsaw operations, climbing, forestry, railway, roadside, the lot.
