1. You're right it doesn't.........my bad. My argument still stands though, are most good tree surgeons members of the Arb Association?
2. "most good tree surgeons will be members of the Arb Association" This really irritates me! Ms Browne could potentially be taking work away from the good, "bone fide" tree surgeons of Tavistock that are not AA approved contractors.

Just keeping my options open mate. I had a day climbing a tree yesterday and it nearly ******* killed me! Ians work is just ticking over, I always worry that its going to disappear (I'm pretty sure it won't though). Well done on getting your work in on both counts.......and good luck with the new addition.

6. I know this particular woodland very well.(the pub in video is my local! ) It is not exactly on the high Moor, it is in between Drewsteignton and Dunsford on the fringes of Dartmoor Narional Park along the Teign gorge. The ground is not conducive to timber extraction, so why not take it back to a more natural state? A more varied ecosystem is far better for all flora and fauna and a lot more attractive to look at. I for one would much prefer to have this on my doorstep than the commercial shoot that rented it before!!
7. +1, very good course. Don't underestimate the amount of work to do though. Especially if you have a business to run and family to look after!!
8. I'm pretty sure Glendale are recruiting at the moment.
9. I assume you're talking about Glendale. In which case you won't be paying for any saws or their up keep. I know other companies that insist on you buying and maintaining your own.
10. It will be on the title deeds of the property as this will usually confirm ownership. It will be denoted by an inward facing 'T' shape. My conveyancing expert wifes words not mine a might add.
11. Thanks Alex, I'm aware of that. It does though depend on the specifics of the contract I'm under. If the contract states that any sub-contract labour must provide their own Liability insurance, then I would require this information. Thanks again for your continued concern.
12. PM me with all your tickets, insurance cover and day rate. I will need someone occasionaly.
13. Thanks for the replies. Illness cover would have been great........hind sight is a wonderful thing. I'll have to make my first trip to a job centre then.
14. I've recently had pretty gruesome surgery in my hip. I'm potentially going to be laid up and off work for at least a month. Does anyone know if I'm entitled to any sick pay, if so how u go about claiming. Many thanks
15. The Tall Trees Trail, England's tallest tree I had the honour of climbing this beauty in order to measure it a few years ago.
16. I am looking for sub-contract labour on an ad-hoc basis in mid devon. You must have your own insurance, tickets and transport. The work includes felling, brush cutting, pesticide application and climbing/ground work. PM me if you're interested
17. Collybia fusipes? Especially if its around Oaks.
18. They're fantastic........a real skill mate.
19. I have the 1.7 cdti on a 57 plate and it's great. When I was researching them I was told to avoid the 1.3 because of flywheel issues. My one has not put a foot wrong (touch wood)!
