  1. Are you going to work for mike hill?
  2. It's pretty tricky to get advice on something that is a personal preference.Try as many as you can then make up your mind,i've had quite a few and they all offer different things.
  3. Who are you flying with? i flew with Norwegian air a few weeks back and was only £5 extra for another 20kg bag,When i go to either Norway or Sweden i just get another bag,it lets you take everything you need without the hassle.
  4. And they didn't hassle you to weigh it if they couldn't pick it up as hand luggage? Sounds fishy!
  5. Don't see why not but would you risk that gear getting taken off you?Are you not taking another bag?put it in main luggage and save the hassle!
  6. I wear the showa's when its not wet,for climbing and ground work, never use to but once i found them i would never go back, helps a lot with grip keeps a lot of little cuts and grazes away etc..each to their own,I love them but useless in the wet! When its gets below -10 they defiantly help as well.
  7. Try pm him like he asked, might have more luck if he hasn't replied yet.
  8. Agree. You'll be lucky to get that amount in a week with trees!
  9. I think the industry is way to saturated with tree surgeons/arborists etc..especially coming from college. To many company's,to many people willing to work for a pittance.I could not afford to live on minimum wage,Would be better being on benefits which is another topic all together.
  10. Chainsaw Chaps type-crotchless and G string, not to much protection but good airflow in the summer..

  19. Have you tried emailing and ringing all the company's in Edinburgh?I think central tree surgeons are always on the lookout,or try ringing frontier forestry.Very little chance of getting anything off here for Edinburgh. Good luck anyway
  20. You have to make the opportunities yourself sometimes. Google is good for researching.
  21. Yeah i hear what your saying,i just had a croll and a few other bits turn up today so will sort it all out tomorrow.I will simply use the gear for ascent then just get my already setup hitch climber and work off that,The srt for me will only be used for bigger tree access to start with.
  22. I think if your croll and ascender are linked to your main ring its fine without a hitch.
  23. For some reason when i read that i had a very camp voice!
