so back to the first question: the general idea is drag brash/feed chipper for a while then give em a go climbing and take it from there? am i right? ...my college is great for giving you lots of knowledge about trees and how they work, ive learnt some amazing stuff but when it comes to practical work they really leave you in the dark! i learnt more in my six month work placement than i did in my two years at college! cheers for your replies! all advice is good advice!

-im glad you brought that up! im gonna be in this situation soon as im finishing college in a months time. i love climbing, but we didnt get chance to do much at colllege so i lack confidence and im still quite slow! some lads at college were great climbers but got put off it when they were pushed too far in their work experience and scared themselves cos, obviously theres a great difference in climbing at college and climbing at work!! i really want to climb but dont want end up like those lads!!

right, gonna try and ask this question without over complicating things, so bare with me! picture this if you will.... You employ a new worker who is fresh out of college after gaining an ND in forestry and arb. worker also has cs 30,31,38 and 39, however only has 6months experience under their belt. monday morning rolls around and its their first morning on the job with you. What tasks would you set them off with? What would you expect from them? stupid question, i know. but there is madness in my method....

Setting off tomoro! stopping off over night ata mates house for drinking practice, then continuing the journey and getting there on weds!! gotta figure out how to carry 30 tinnies, one bottle of rum, one bottle of tequila, one big bottle of wine and a couple of bottles of cider through the huge queue to get in, then to the camp site. ... oh yeah, and a tent ... and clothes ... you know, all the little bits that im leaving till tomoro to sort out! ... they'll work themselves out, GOT ME BOOZE THO! if i dont make it thru the weekend, its been nice knowing you all! donate my liver to science!

it lost that ages ago! id say its done more of a starwars tho -taken something great and then completely beaten it into a long drawn out painfull death! did anyone watch the 3rd terminator film or the sarah connor chronicles? they were terrible!! the first two are legendary but it should have stopped there!!

i cant decide wether i want to see it! loved the first two films but thort the third was god awful! didnt think much of the sarah connor chronicles either! Arnie IS a freaking legend tho! but hes not in new one is he!?!

its a great idea! you wouldnt believe the amount of times me and my mates were stopped by the police for having band practices in various different band members garages!! every damn practice cut short cos neighbours couldnt stand it for an hour or so and rather than come and talk to us about it they just called the police!

im with you on this. hope the poor kid managed to put it all behind him, one of my friends was put through a similar ordeal at school, 5 years and 4 suicide attempts later and she still takes anti depressants. memories like that just dont go away. sad tale.

Ibenez all the way!! was in a punk band called 'Chief Instigator' when i was a kid, i played guitar but had a habit of getting a bit to merry before gigs, you know when you get to that point were your eyes get twitchy and you cant look in one place for too long, we must have sounded terrible! i sure as hell cant remember! now im playin bass in a ska band, much more fun!!! (and a bit less drunk))

people who talk about THEIR freinds as if YOU know them! people who over use the word 'random' english people using american words (dude, sweet, awesome -god, i hate those words) people telling me to stop smoking, i'll do what i damn well please thankyou very much! again, people who dont use indicators, especially on roundabouts! people who cant park in one parking space so take up 2 or 3. noisy people rude people fat people in mobility scooters parents swearing at their kids heavy breathers noisy eaters stupid questions im gonna stop now, im sorry!

its amazing how something so painfull can be so addictive!! covering myself with mexican sugar skulls at the moment!! well, i was, will continue when i can afford it!!
